US 101 Corridor Mobility Plan: Paso Robles

Connecting communities within and across the region to improve travel time reliability, safety and modal choices for the efficient movement of people and goods.

Several needs areas have been identified in the US 101 Corridor throughout Paso Robles to address issues brought forward by both the public and technical analyses performed as part of this study. SLOCOG and the consultant team are seeking your input on which improvement concepts will work best to improve mobility and access along this important transportation route, while preserving the unique environment that makes San Luis Obispo County a great place to live.

This section of US 101 was advanced for futher analysis because it had a higher number of traffic collisions than other parts of the corridor and because the parallel routes through downtown Paso Robles are experiencing congestion. Safety and congestion were also the primary issues brought forward by the public during the first round of input.

We are looking for comments on improvements proposed for Arroyo Grande and Pismo Beach, San Luis Obispo, Atascadero, or Paso Robles. Essentially, this study will prioritize improvements that enhance mobility on US 101 by reducing congestion. Improvements providing the most benefit to the highway will have the highest priority, while those showing limited or no benefits to the highway will not be considered in this study.

To provide input, click on a needs area to see the proposed improvement concepts. You may provide comments on the improvement concepts shown, or you can suggest another option that is not listed. All public input will be summarized to help inform the development of a multi-modal improvement package for each Focus Segment.
