More auto and truck parking would help on busy weekends and summers when traveling to the valley.
-
The east bound acceleration lane from Jardine Rd is to short for the number of cars and the the speed. Mill Rd acceleration Lane is 1/4 mile for a few cars while Jardine is 300' maybe.
-
Need a better bike connection here. And Tassajara Creek road joining 101 is dangerous - Need fix.
-
Extend the 3rd lane to Spyglass to reduce congestion at allow the best use of the third lane
-
The Rosario Ave. on-ramp to NB 101 is too short for traffic to accelerate to proper merging speed. The conflict caused disrupts the flow of northbound traffic whenever a vehicle merges here. This ramp should be removed as there is a properly configured on-ramp to NB 101 just a short distance north at San Anselmo Rd. This ramp is redundant.

101 between San Ramon Rd. and Vineyard Dr. is the only option between these points for any traffic (including bikes and pedestrians). This is a particularly dangerous segment with 48 injury collisions (one involving a bicyclist) and three fatal collisions between 1/1/02 and 12/31/11. A bike/pedestrian path is needed to connect these two points and separate bicyclists/pedestrians from the freeway traffic. The residential neighborhood on N. Ferrocarril Rd is in the Templeton School District. There is no school bus service in this district. A student would have to either walk/bike on the freeway to get to school or walk in the riverbed.

Hwy 46 & 101 intersection fwy exits and on ramps.
The traffic flow is horrible to access fwy .
Too much traffic is now forced on to hwy 46 from shopping area, funneling all vehicles into one area, that prior to changes was confusing, but now is confusing and congested.
Need to build additional fwy access by main Target entrance off Theater.
Make a new on ramp to allow traffic on E. bound 46 to 101S that bypasses signal....why should they wait to go South bound? -
The exit at LOVR needs more lanes or a new exit at Prado RD for 101
-
Please fix this interchange. Either spend the money or close the exit from 101 at Halcyon.
-
get the SLO railroad safety trail through this area all the way to the train station. The RR/PUC shouldn't be able to trump air quality/mobility for non drivers. somehow the RR needs to be coerced into giving this right of way to the alternate modes.

If you are on S Paso Robles St, you can't access the freeway south without making a long and roundabout drive up to 13th and then down Riverside. The ramp you end up taking to go south is just across the freeway from where you started out. There ought to be a way to connect S Paso Robles with Riverside Ave.
-
There seems to be allot of collisions and congestion in this area as drivers come around the bend and get their first view of the ocean.
-
There seems to always be heavy congestion and weaving between the Spring St. Ramp and the Theater Drive. Driver entering 101 from 46 seem to take a while picking up speed and conflict with vehicles moving over to exit on Spring Street.
-
This left turn exit has an extremely short pocket that's difficult to decelerate in time for the turn. There could also be better signing letting drivers looking for exit know ahead of time.
-
Although these ramps are not that busy the 12'-15' wide railroad under crossing is accessing it has limited visibility and conflicting head on traffic.
-
There are no NB 101 Ramps south of 13th Street.
-
This ramp often backs up onto the mainline during PM commute traffic. Another 101 exit with bridge to S. River Road south of this ramp would be ideal.
-
This ramp is unnecessary and generates traffic in the surrounding neighborhoods
-
These ramps generate traffic in the neighborhoods and may not be necessary if Hwy 1 & 101 interchange were improved.
-
The Bob Jones Trail would be much improved if it continued underneath the LOVR bridge and curved up to the NB Ramp intersection.
-
A full North and South bound interchange is desperately needed here.
-
Hwy traffic has to exit and enter thru neighborhoods with this ramp configuration. Please consider consolidating the ramps into a tight single point interchange.
-
Preserve rural undeveloped views between SLO and Atascadero, avoid sprawl and strip commercial development along the highway.
-
many of the on-ramps through SLO are too short and it's difficult to merge quickly enough, especially when there are lots of trucks.
