More boardwalks like the new Johnson Street / Derry Dell Creek boardwalk are greatly needed in Tigard to provide active transportation and help clean creeks.
-
Does this go across private property?
-
The trail doesn't extend along the NE edge of the Geo. Morlan property as shown. A small trail runs between the Morlan fence line and 99W leading to SW Johnson St.
-
Raising the level of the trail below the overpass would reduce the recurring mud trap. Sloping the trail surface slightly towards the creek will enhance self cleaning.
-
This spur should help connect up to the THPRD trails that will ultimately end up at the Willamette river.
-
No outlet to connect to the Murrayhill powerline trail? Without that there doesn't seem to be much point in building the trail behind these homes.
-
No chance for a trail here? Tigard St has some very fast traffic heading west and is not very pedestrian/bike friendly. If we could avoid it on our way to Summerlake Park, that would help the appeal of the trail system.
Maybe negotiate a trail along the north side of Fowler middle school?
-
Connecting Summerlake park with the Fanno Creek trail is a great idea.
-
This place is a deathtrap. 25MPH? Try 50. How about a crosswalk or even a pedestrian signal?
The location of the continuation of the trail also could use much better signage. The private driveway right across the street looks like the trail and confuses many on their first walk/ride through here.
-
This will make a great addition to the trail. This should be much nicer than the street route to the west.
-
How about a crossing signal here? Walking up the hill to wait for the long signal there is very awkward.
-
I'm looking forward to a trail here, it will make a nice option for a traffic-free bike ride with great views.
-
It will be very nice to have a trail continue through this section. It's pretty confusing to be suddenly dumped onto the streets after a nice trail walk.

Strongly encouraging NO trail in protected wetland/upland/riparian area from 135th to Summer Lake Park. Wildlife sightings in this stretch include but not limited to: Bald Eagles (last seen April '11), Mink (a pair in summer '10, an individual in April '11), Otter pair (summer '10), beaver, coyotes, other raptors, birds eating fish and frogs and eachother! (Falcon). Baby geese and ducks are reared here each year. Please consider their privacy and mine. Thanks for reading.

We do not want a trail behind our property because we value the natural area as it is complete with it's abundant wildlife. We also believe that a trail and/or boardwalk would be a continuous maintenance issue due to the flooding which completely covers the greenspace along the creek several times per year. Our privacy, security and property values are additional reasons for us to fight this proposal with everything we've got!
-
We DO NOT want a trail behind our house. It will take away our privacy and lower the value of our house.

Summer Creek runs behind our house as marked on the map. There is an existing path on the far side (South?) of the evergreen trees from our house. In the Tigard trails plan will a new path be put in along the edge of the water (north? of the trees? I have heard this was being considered in the past. I hope this is not part of the trails plan. We have complete privacy now and that is an assest to the value of our home. In addition, that area floods in the winter during heavy rains and would likely wash out a path. Another request is to put in more benches in Summer Lake Park by the lake. I am slightly disabled and like to walk in the park but need to sit and rest at intervals.

Why hasn't the City installed a cross walk in this area? Traffic is often heavy. Very few people obey the speed limit. Children use this crossing daily to get to Fowler Middle School.
