    17th Street West

BL44 Rimrock Rd to Grand Avenue. road diet should allow striped bike lanes on both sides of 17th St W. I travel this route frequently and without striped lanes, it feels crowded and unsafe.

  2. April 06 2014

    Poly Drive

R5 I believe this is scheduled for FY14. The previous Poly reconstruction helped Poly immensely and this next leg would continue the bike lane to Zimmerman. An extension N. up to Rimrock would be another great addition to the system. Another extension down 38th St W to the trail system on Colton would be a great connector.

  3. April 06 2014

    Airport

R4. The highway(Airport Rd- 27th St ) seems wide enough to accommodate the current traffic lanes plus bike/ped lanes on each side (NW bound up and SE bound down) It should be simple to provide connectors on each side to carry bike/ped to Swords Park to the East or to the West of the tunnel path on Hwy 3

  4. April 05 2014

    Mary Street Option 2

I assume this site is T10 in the "Public Transportation Projects" "Main Street to Bitterroot Drive".A simple extension of the Kiwanis Trail north of Mary St. On the abandoned rr row, owned by the City from Mary St north to Five Mile Creek, thence East to Bitterroot Dr, going thru Bitteroot Heights Subdivision. This subdivision has some trails constructed and many more planned by the developer and would give an easy access to the main trail system. I believe the County provided for some bike/ped access down Five Mile Creek to Dover Park thru easements given by developers in the past.

    P5

The only current bottleneck on this segment is at Boulder School where access to Colton Ave thru the school grounds themselves is because SD#2 closed it off at the school bus loading area on a City owned parcel leased to the SD. The plan approved by City/County Planning showed a public bike/ped path on the south side of the school which is not now available.

    M5

M5,M11&M12 have so many similarities I can't tell them apart.I believe the section along Broadwater has been funded by MDOT for construction under this year's allotment for Billings.

    M15

This connection would tie in two schools to the Big Ditch trail thence west. The City owns the ROW and there seem to be no plans by either adjacent landowner groups to develop their properties with streets. The only traffic problem lies in the necessity of crossing Zimmerman Trail but that problem is there now.

This is an easy SRTS route from 24th to Spring Creek Park. The route is City controlled as the Arnold Drain. It would provide a safe path/trail from 24th St W past Burlington School to Spring Creek Park. Currently it/'s a messy piece of ground, I maintained by the neighbors and they should welcome this improvement.

  9. April 03 2014

    6th Avenue N/Bench Blvd

From Anchor Ave to just past Kingston Ave there is no walking path. When kids walk or ride their bikes to school at Bitteroot elementary, they are forced to walk next to the road when its muddy or snowy.

  10. March 29 2014

Connect the Alkali Creek paved trail to the tunnel under Main Street. This connection must be on the north side of Airport Road so you do not have to go under Airport Road and work your way back through the high traffic areas, hotel and Cenex gas station. Critical section to complete!

  11. March 26 2014

    Grand Avenue

Although there is a reconstruction project planned for Grand Avenue, the intersection of 38th Street West and Grand Avenue needs to be addressed as it is a safety concern. There have been several serious traffic accidents primarily due to east and west bound left turning movements crossing 2-3 lanes of oncoming fast moving traffic; and the lane configuration west bound narrowing Grand Avenue from Zimmerman westward to Shiloh. There is a heavy traffic flow coming eastward from the round a bout at the intersection of Shiloh and Grand. There is a considerable amount of stacking on 38th Street West during peak hours with the residential area and Fitness Center as primary contributors. There are no pedestrian or bike lanes from Zimmerman to Shiloh on Grand Avenue.

What a great way to connect the Riverfront area with the connector to Laurel Road! Give this priority!

  13. March 26 2014

    M2

Let's get this trail paved! It already gets a lot of use.

  14. March 26 2014

    M8

This trail would provide untold numbers of people with the joy riding, jogging and walking in some beautiful areas near the City of Billings.

  15. March 26 2014

    M28

This trail would be an incredible addition to our bike trail system!

  16. March 26 2014

    M42

Let's continue to develop the BBWA to Swords Park Trail. What a great connector for our trail system in the Magic City!

  17. March 26 2014

    M39

There has just got to be a way to make this happen! This is a critical gap in the bike trail and I am convinced that it will become a reality in the near future. Thanks.

  18. March 26 2014

    BL12

Eighth Street West is a great suggestion for a bike lane. Thank you.

  19. March 26 2014

    North 32nd Street

This would be a great place for a bike boulevard! Thanks.

  20. March 26 2014

    Downtown Circulator

Lets get behind a downtown circulator. It would be a very proactive way to encourage less reliance on automobile traffic in the core of the city, even as we make the city center more inviting. It would also be a great way to connect downtown and the Metra!

  21. March 26 2014

    M28

The city of Billings would benefit greatly from a biking/hiking/running path along Laurel Road. There is so much room on this roadway. Seems it could be placed down the middle of the dividing island, with attractive berms or plantings to complement the path. Let's do it!

  22. March 26 2014

    North 27th Street

Please give priority to creating a biking/hiking trail along 27th street from Rimrock to the Airport. This is a vital connector between the city center and the Rims for many people, as evidenced by the current well worn path between the roadway and the edge of the Rims.

  23. March 26 2014

    BL45

Fabulous to have a safe walking/jogging/biking lane here, as it is already a very popular route. Thanks!

  24. March 26 2014

    M37

This would be a tremendous addition to the bike trail system in Billings. Thanks!

  25. March 25 2014

    M37

    This would be awesome!
