YES! Would love to see this project done!

  2. March 25 2014

    Division Street

There are 3 eastbound lanes of Broadwater at Division - reconfigure them to be:
    o Southern to Montana
    o Middle to 2nd Ave N only
    o Northern to 4th Ave N or 6th Ave N
    • No left turns allowed from Division (maybe only during rush hour?)
    • Add option to turn onto 4th Ave N from both northbound lanes of Division (currently only east lane turns onto 4th)

  3. March 24 2014

Connect the 6th Avenue trail to the Aronson / Alkali Creek trail. Presently one has to get on the road to get to 6th Avenue or take a very roundabout way (not obvious) to successfully maneuver between these trails. Going from 6th Avenue to Aronson is even more difficult.

  4. March 24 2014

Presently during winter or rainy conditions, pedestrians and bikers are exposed to road spray with traffic speeding by at less than 5 feet away. For many people in the heights without cars or wishing to walk or ride their bicycle, this is the only route to/from downtown Billings and often this stretch of the sidewalk is impassible and not kept clean from snow, mud and rock debris. This proposed trail along 6th Avenue needs to be elevated so that snow plows and traffic does not put snow on the trail. The trail needs to be kept clean for pedestrians and traffic during the winter.

  5. March 22 2014

    32nd Street West

4 Way stop is a bottleneck, but I'm not sure a roundabout is the best option for 2 reasons. 1)heavy east-west traffic may make it difficult for north-south traffic to get into roundabout 2) Speed is already a problem on Gabel Road. Using a roundabout may allow vehicles to go even faster since they don't have to slow to a stop On another subject - please activate the light at Gabel & Hesper sooner, rather than waiting for FedEx to open. It can be very difficult to get out there. Also will help with the speed problem

  6. March 22 2014

    Central Avenue

A bike lane on this street would make a huge difference for people who want to ride to or from work when they live/work anywhere south of Grand Ave. We need a bike lane on a street that goes east-west, besides Poly Drive, which is way up north.

  7. March 22 2014

    Poly Drive

This is an ultimate priority project. Kids who live just three blocks east of Arrowhead School cannot walk or bike safely to their school. There is gravel leading up to the very potholed road, and many near misses on the corner of Poly and 38th Street, as cars speed around the corner. The city has a responsibility to make this safe for children and the many residents around this area.

  8. March 22 2014

Please add a trail or lane between 32nd and Shiloh, so cyclists and pedestrians can access the Shiloh Road from the busy, industrial Transtech Center where there is a large population of employees who walk on their lunch break.

  9. March 22 2014

There should be a bike lane or a off-street trail on 32nd St., going south of King Ave. We have a bike lane coming from the north that ends at King, and then cyclists take their lives in their hands going south of King, over the bridge and toward the Transtech Center. There are a lot of cycling communities working in that industrial area who would benefit: Sanderson Stewart, Electrical Consultants, Inc., Alpha Graphics, Coors, etc. This project would benefit a lot of poeple, and could be a nice mini loop paralleling and connecting to the Shiloh trail if a facility was also built on Hesper.

    M37

Billings could have a good, bikeable loop around the city, and this section would be a key component. There is no good way to get across the highway to connect toward Riverfront Park.

  11. March 19 2014

I am dismayed to not see plans for extending Monad Rd. and Broadwater Avenues westward. As the city grows closer to the Buffalo Trail area in the next 50 years, I believe it will be vital to have through streets spaced one-half mile apart rather than one mile apart. One need only look at the congestion on 24th Street West and 32nd Street West to see the problems created by having a full mile gap between through streets. My brother is a traffic engineer for a city in Oregon similar in size to Billings, and he told me a lack of long-term planning such as what I see here has caused serious traffic problems in that city. I would hate to see the same in Billings. THINK LONG TERM! Thank you for listening.

  12. March 18 2014

Build a 2nd route off the rimrocks connecting Highway 3 and Molt Rd.similar to a route defined in a former engineering study done by HKM and reviewed by the Billings City Council on Nov. 10, 2003. This connector would reduce future stress and improve safety on Zimmerman Trail as traffic on the Trail will greatly increase in the next 20 years supported by employment and population projections.

    P23

I know of a friend in a wheel chair that has to use this road, instead of a sidewalk or path which should be done for him if not the kids that walk around. Just a place waiting for a accident to happen. Please get done in the next few years. Peoples lives are at stake!!!!

  14. March 18 2014

Glad this is on the list. I would hope that this would be one of the first so it gets bikes off of the south frontage road which has not shoulders and is not even being looked at for improvements. Please make this happen in the next few years!!!!

  15. March 18 2014

    Inner Belt Loop

make the inner belt loop a Scenic Parkway with a possible rest area and trails to the rimrocks.

designate the rimrock highway 3 a NATIONAL SCENIC BYWAY.

better Signage for Bilings Attractions (colleges, five museums, historic district, Zoo)

bridge to Indian Caves from riverfront park, mountain bike trail

  16. March 18 2014

the small ditch on the north side of Beecraft could be put in a plastic culvert now, with a walking path on top wouldn't have to purchase property to make room for walking Space is the problem YVEC will put a light on your pole for $10 a month side walks and lighting should be last on the list
    We need to room on
Old Hardin road and Beecraft before we can think about installing any thing we have to much need in different areas to spend large quantities on one small project We could light Beecraft today !! Lets put some of the money we will collect into lights on YVE poles

  17. March 18 2014

Suspension bridge across Yellowstone river with mountain bike trail to Indian caves

  18. March 18 2014

Traveling west on 6th Ave n where you turn right onto grand...no one stops when the light is red.
When turning left onto division...everyone in the outside lane cuts the corner really night forcing the center lane into the oncoming traffic lane when rounding the corner.

  19. March 18 2014

We need more streets going across from south to north - just two lane streets. There is a lot of them east to west but very few going north to south - once you get out of the older part of town. In the newer part all you have is 24th, 32nd, Shiloh and that's it. Putting in more through streets will help alleviate congestion without needing to widen existing streets. I was thinking about it coming home ... how can I bypass 32nd? I can go to 24th but that's busy, too, and it's backtracking for me.

  20. March 18 2014

I live near here and I would like to be able to walk across 32nd to get to the businesses safety. If you put a boulevard or something down the middle of 32nd so you would only have to walk across half of it - at a time - then it would be safer. Right now, it's not safe at all to walk across it. I feel ridiculous having to take my car and drive a block to get to these businesses. After almost being hit trying to cross it that's what I have to do. I have a neighbor who was hit trying to cross the street and it took her months to recover.

  21. March 17 2014

    N 27th St/Rimrock Rd

A Dangerous intersection .... high speed of cars coming down the hill with others turning into them.... I see a wreck here once a week.

  22. March 17 2014

    Downtown Circulator

MOVE OUR HOMELESS SHELTER OUT OF THE DOWNTOWN

  23. March 17 2014

    27th Street

DO something about the increasing homeless population in downtown Billings!!!
It's slowing down the progress of our town! Downtown Billings should be our main focus!

  24. March 17 2014

County needs to pave road and parking lot at Two Moon.

  25. March 17 2014

Check into annexing property for Bench to Main connection near old Circle Inn location. Adding a thoroughfair and a light would assist increased traffic in the future.
