I know this was studied years back, but maybe time again - a back exit out of Carlson center via a bridge to Phillips Field; it could extend Wilbur providing a direct North-South connection. Last time the show stopper was the Kiwanis Park Property but the issue wasn't pushed much -- with the increased use of the Carlson Center it might be time to consider this.

I would like to see a pedestrian and bicycle route connecting Miller Hill Rd. with Miller Hill Extension.
-
I would like to see a transit service route to Goldstream.

There really needs to be a nice wide bike path along College Road. Also, turning traffic is always an issue for bikers alongside an already existing road. Would it be possible to have a bike path that would follow the College Road corridor but be separate from the road--possibly in towards the creamers field side of things. What a scenic route that could be! Then you would also get ski and bike commuters in the winter as well.
-
It would be nice if there was a less circuitous route from UAF to downtown. As it is, the bike commute is not very direct. What about tunnels or bridges overhead? Or even just a consistent quality of bike path. For instance, the one from University Avenue along Johansen, that then cuts under Peger Road, then to a nice bike path varies a great deal in quality and feels like a bunch of disjunct paths. One thing that would promote bike commuting year round would be if it was more streamlined and continuous.

This is a dangerous intersection for bikers and pedestrians. The easiest thing to do would be to change the light sequence so that there is not always someone turning across the cross walk. Even better would be to have a bridge that you could bike across. This would help bikers tremendously as now the light takes about 5 minutes which adds a siginficant amount of time to your commute. Or even a tunnel under ground. What about having multi-use paths through town like Anchorage for skiers, fat bikers, walkers ect.--with tunnels underneath roads?

They've studied putting a bike path along Plack rd several times in the past 5-6 years. They were also talking about putting real shoulders on the road, as opposed to the extra gravel.
Plack Rd probably has as much if not more traffic than Hurst, which has a Bike path.

Barnette Street starts at 2-lanes at 1st Ave. and expands to 4-lanes at Airport Way. In the winter, the lines disappear, snow piles up on the sides of the roadway, and people don't look up at the lights (lane arrows) to see if they are in their correct lane and use multiple lanes to drive on. This is a nightmare navigating through! Is there a better way to help the traffic flow down this street?
-
The grey line is great! It would be really handy if there were few extra runs later in the morning before noon, and also a little weekend service.
-
The street running behind Hutchison School and Sanvik Street needs better alignment for traffic. People wanting to make right hand turns off of Sandvik have used cars to create a path that exits Sandik onto the bus pull out along University.
-
I like the Grey Line and would like to see it stay in service.
-
This intersection can be dangerous. It seems that drivers have a difficult time judging on coming traffic and pull out into traffic at bad times. Perhaps exit and merge lanes could help

A bike path would be great down Nelson to give bikes and walkers safe access to the Chena Lakes bike path.
-
Holmes Road should be widened with shoulders and sidewalks to make it safe for bike riders. The road is very narrow and people often speed down this road.
-
I agree with the comment to widen Bradway and add maybe a sidewalk. This road is narrow and not safe for pedestrians or bike riders.
-
A path along side Plack is something I've heard talk about in the past, though I'm not sure where this stands. A path would increase safety of the 1000's of kids that live down this road and would give walkers a safe place to walk rather than just up and down Badger Road.
-
Badger road has such a great bike path, but it's constantly covered with rocks because of ATV's that choose to tear up and down the path. Would it be possible to get the path sweapt at the beginning and middle of summer? It makes rollerblading difficult.
-
Consider widening Bradway road. Many places it is very narrow. During winter when it snows the road gets even narrower. The road is cleared very rarely. Many times Drivers must go into the soft snow to avoid hitting each other due to the narrowness of the road. Also with many walking or riding bikes there isn't much room to pass them safely. A bike/walking path would be a great addition as well.

Need more frequent transit service to University West
-
Need walkway along Chena Small Tracts
-
This intersection is very dangerous for bikers. We cannot see around the trees at the stop sign for oncoming traffic. Is there a way to improve this?
-
The Grey Line is an important bus line. It keeps lots of cars from driving to campus in the winter. More and more people are on it in the mornings. More people would use it if there was a place to park and plug in along the route. Please keep the grey line.
-
I don't know if this is possible due to land ownership issues, but a possible foot bridge would be nice for pedestrians to cross and make the walking distance to Airport and other areas faster and easier.
-
A paved bike/walking path along Summit Drive. A lot of pedestrians, including walkers, bikers, and roller-skiers, use this road in the summer. Summit is a narrow road with no shoulder and there is only a dirt path extending part of the way up the hill. A paved path running alongside the entire road would make it safer for all.

3 lane Cushman becomes 2 lanes with any snowfall after plowing. Can be dangerous and hard to judge where to drive until the snow pile on left side is picked up.
