Landscapping!!! the recent completion of the Illinois Street project is wonderful except for one very important element; landscaping!!! I find it extremely disappointing and distasteful that Federal and State highways dollars were used to such an extent on a major urban corridor through town, only to be left with some areas BLACKTOPPED!! Are you kidding me?!? Please go about the business of finding suitable long term maintenance agreements for landscaping elements in those areas adjacent to the road that were covered with asphalt. Do not think grass and lawn. that is high maintenance. Think trees and shrubs that are hardy enough for the climate and that once established can take care of themselves...but most of all, get rid of the asphalt and the ADOT staff who promoted it!!

Need sidewalks from the Pioneer Home to Wilbur Street, with consideration of sitting benches(s) and possibly pedestrian lighting.
-
The College Road/Johansen Intersection is difficult for pedestrians and bicycles. This intersection should be analyzed and reviewed to increase safety for all users.
-
If widened shoulders are created on College Road, consider modifying them into bicycle lanes per the College Road Corridor Study.
-
Bus Pullouts on College Road need to be considered as outlined in the Corridor study.
-
This road needs wider shoulders and/or an adjacent bike path. During the summer, the bike trail along the north side of the road is an ATV mud-hole and kids end up riding their bikes on the narrow shoulder. Motorists drive in excess of 50+ mph routinely. Need to get the mailboxes off of Peede and onto the adjacent streets to improve safety.
-
Aurora Drive is in need of rehabilitation and replacement of the Noyes Slough bridge.
-
Dyke Road has very old pavement, needs drainage improvements, clearing and a shoulder for safer travel for all modes. The railroad crossing on the south end needs to be upgraded.
-
Dennis Rd needs widened from Holmes Rd all the way down to Bradway. When driving on Dennis leaving the Polar Ice Arena, the lane drops off several feet & can cause major damage to any motorized vehicle. The shoulder of this entire road is no longer there. This is a safety issue and concern for all motorists to include ATV riders crossing on land areas too. The white solid stripe is no longer there and the asphault is crumbling so bad, that it is becoming narrower each day motorists drive on Dennis Road. We sure awould appreciate someone taking the initiative to seek out our concerns for all those whom travel this road & their well being.
