  1. February 08 2015

Prado Rd. extension: South Higuera St. to Broad St.

Why does this road curve like this? What are the obstructions? It makes sense, road-wise for it to be straight.

  2. February 08 2015

Froom Ranch Way extension: end of Froom Ranch Way to Dalidio Dr.

If the intent is to improve flow between shopping areas, provide an alternative to Madonna Rd, work in conjunction with a Prado Road overpass, and allow connection to the interchange at Madonna, this makes sense.

  3. February 08 2015

Buckley Rd. extension: Higuera St. to Vachell Ln.

It makes sense to build this Buckley extension. However, this, and the development around it, will add significant burden on S. Higuera and bottleneck the intersection at LOVR.

Thus, Buckley should be extended all the way straight to US 101 (with curving to the right to connect to LOVR), as a 4 to 6 lane arterial parkway and gateway to the city. This will accommodate traffic that uses LOVR to and from the Costco area. It also handles traffic to and from Broad Street. Overall these two roads (Buckley Extension and the LOVR Bypas) allow a place for ease of traffic flow. Further, it helps support the business and residential developments in the area.

Buckley Rd. extension: Higuera St. to Vachell Ln.

We are greatly concerned about the congestion where Los Osos dead ends into Lower Higuera St.The Buckley Rd. extension.Make it easier and safer to enter / exit the parks. Eliminate congestion. For: LOVR bypass!!

  5. February 08 2015

Buckley Rd. extension: Higuera St. to Vachell Ln.

I fully support a Buckley Rd extension that would also connect to the LOVR overpass. Traffic between S. Higuera and 101 has become dangerous and overwhelming.

  6. February 08 2015

Buckley Rd. widening: Vachell Ln. to Broad St.

I fully support the Buckley Rd. extension to connect with the LOVR bypass as soon as possible. I live in Los Verdes Park 1 and my family and I are directly impacted by the traffic flow in the area. Thank you for your consideration.

  7. February 07 2015

Buckley Rd. widening: Vachell Ln. to Broad St.

The Buckley Rd. extension is a fantastic proposal! It would be even better if it continued over Higuera, and kept going past Los Verdes Park 2's south side and then connected with LOVR and closing LOVR between Parks 1 & 2.

  8. February 07 2015

Buckley Rd. extension: Higuera St. to Vachell Ln.

The Buckley Road extension is greatly needed. Without it, traffic will continue to be backed up on Los Osos Valley Road.

  9. February 06 2015

Buckley Rd. extension: Higuera St. to Vachell Ln.

I support the Buckley Rd. Extension and support extending it to LOVR. It has become extremely dangerous biking on Los Osos and it is only a matter of time before serious accidents occur.

  10. February 06 2015

Buckley Rd. extension: Higuera St. to Vachell Ln.

I am in favor of extending Buckley Road to connect with frontage road at US 101.

  11. February 06 2015

Buckley Rd. extension: Higuera St. to Vachell Ln.

I'm in full support of extending Buckley Rd. to S. Higuera St. in order to ease the traffic on Los Osos Valley Rd.

  12. February 06 2015

Buckley Rd. extension: Higuera St. to Vachell Ln.

    1) I am in favor of the Buckley Road Extension.

    2) Recommend extending the Buckley Road Extension to the south to connect with a frontage road at US 101 (known in City of SLO as the LOVR Bypass).

  13. February 06 2015

Buckley Rd. extension: Higuera St. to Vachell Ln.

As a resident near this proposal I can say this Buckley extension to Higuera street is badly needed! Traffic congestion is very bad, and the number of accidents in this area reflects that. But please consider taking it one step further and extended Buckley further all the way to LOVR near the 101 interchange.

Buckley Rd. extension: Higuera St. to Vachell Ln.

A by-pass road (from S. Higuera to LOVR, direct from Buckley, behind Los Verdes Park 2) is needed. It is especially needed considering the 350 units of housing proposed for the Madonna/LOVR plan, as these units will add significant burden on this end of town. Furthermore, the "bypass" should be planned and the Madonna/LOVR developers, along with the developers on the other side of 101, should contribute their fare share for this roadway.

  15. January 28 2015

Buckley Rd. extension: Higuera St. to Vachell Ln.

Especially need the road extension and connection crossing the freeway to allow a good alternative east-west connection. Also, widening and making it a well paved road will divert some traffic off the LOVR and Madonna Road interchanges.

  16. January 28 2015

Buckley Rd. extension: Higuera St. to Vachell Ln.

This extension would be best served by extending straight through to a frontage road at the 101/LOVR intersection. The extension would allow the intersection of LOVR and S Higuera to flow smoother. The connection is termed "LOVR Bypass" in the City of SLO's General Plan Amendment. Without this by-pass, traffic studies show that the intersection of LOVR/S Higuera will be at LOS F, causing a bottle-neck in the area.

The land is not built-out currently, Thus, a proper sized road (4 to 6 lanes, with bike paths) is possible if we plan for it not. Also, it makes sense to instituted plans to build the by-pass prior to development, both for land availability and funding reasons. Planning now allows for collection of pro-rata amounts of development fees from multiple projects, along with planning for TIF, grant, and other funding, as we go along.

  17. January 26 2015

Buckley Rd. extension: Higuera St. to Vachell Ln.

AGREE - The Buckley Road Extension to So. Higuera St. is essential to relieving the traffic congestion in this region, especially the dangerous intersection of LOVR and Vachell Lane with So. Higuera St.

It would be advisable to cul-de-sac Vachell Lane at the same time as the Extension and provide only emergency vehicle access only or restrict it to only "right-turn access".

Also, LOVR should be re-routed from the SLO Creek overpass along the east side of the creek to the (new) Buckley Road Extension intersection with So. Higuera St. The existing LOVR could then be cul-de-sac'd and/or restricted to "right-turn only" in and out.

These re-routes (of Buckley Rd & LOVR) would improve immeasurably the circulation in one of the most congested regions in our City and County. It would add another connection from Hwy 101 to Hwy 227 right at the County Airport, while relieving the pressure off Tank Farm Road.

The extension and re-route would also promote the extension of the Bike Trail along the Creek with linear parks connecting to the Octagon Barn and Bike Trail extensions to the south.

  18. January 22 2015

US 101 / Prado Rd. I/C and NB auxiliary lane

A bridge over US 101 to allow for much east/west circulation would be a great Phase I to this project! The ramps and auxiliary lanes could come later.

  19. January 22 2015

North Frontage Rd. extension: Sandydale Rd. to Summit Station Rd.

The most needed portion of this project is between Willow Road and Sandydale Drive. This connection will allow access to Frontage Road business such as the Nipomo Swap Meet. It will move traffic away from the Tefft Street interchange to relieve the extreme traffic congestion currently being experienced there.

  20. January 22 2015

Thompson Ave. urban improvements: Chestnut St. to Price St.

Any or all urban improvements are a welcome addition to Old Towne Nipomo. Not only visually, but to improve drainage and invite potential businesses.

  21. January 22 2015

    Oakglen Ave. secondary access

Secondary access to South Oakglen Avenue is needed immediately. Until secondary access is provided, all properties along South Oakglen are at a stand still and any improvements or redevelopment of the most blighted area of Nipomo cannot occur.

  22. January 22 2015

    US 101 / Southland St. I/C

While we wait for an interchange, a short-term, low cost solution would be to install a SB on-ramp at Southland. This will relieve congestion at the Tefft Street interchange!

  23. January 16 2015

    Prado Rd. bridge widening

This is a bottleneck that really needs to be replaced with a safe and usable bridge that allows for the future and bikes!

  24. January 16 2015

US 101 / Prado Rd. I/C and NB auxiliary lane

Please make this interchange happen soon!!! we need a 101 overcrossing and ramps to both the directions on 101

  25. January 16 2015

Prado Rd. extension: South Higuera St. to Broad St.

This is a sorely needed connection to relieve other roads for east-west traversing of the City. It's wonderful!
