School crossing in the morning and afternoon creates a huge delay.
-
US 50 Westbound in the morning (around 7:30) comes to a stand-still.
-
Evening traffic is a mess trying to get onto US 50 Westbound. Even with two left turn lanes, Latrobe road north backs up.
Also, having only a single through lane on Latrobe North is a real bottleneck as traffic shuffles around trying to get to the appropriate land
-
Morning backup on Green Valley Road headed West is terrible. Frequently have to wait more than one cycle of the lights to get through the intersection.
-
AM traffic is a disaster here. The backup headed south getting onto US 50 West is terrible.
-
A stoplight at Enterprise Dr. and Missouri Flat Rd. Critical. Very confusing with left hand "suicide " lanes with many businesses approached.
-
Need solution for apple hill traffic coming east on 50 and exiting onto Carson rd.
-
Safety project and gateway project to Apple Hill and El Dorado County's wine country. This project should have impact architecture and include multi modal facility tie ins. Why doesn't El Dorado County bring in the buses from Tahoe for Apple Hill season. Get more value from your resources.
Not including weekends for traffic studies is ignoring the gorilla in the room. Local businesses would actually benefit from a better more efficient transportation system. The very success of their business depends on it.
-
Country Club Dr, Bass Lake Rd and Highway 50 north side interchange is a disaster area. Daily there are traffic backups, honking cars, near accidents and often accidents not to mention the bike riders that frequent the area on weekends. This whole intersection needs to be addressed immediately.

I am in favor of the JPA, and would like for El Dorado to do it's part to move this project forward.

Community members continue to be alarmed by the tragic fatal and serious accidents on the Hwy 50 corridor where the left turn across the highway exits are in the Apple Hill area. We are hoping for an under crossing solution in the near future.

Many sections of this portion of Latrobe Rd to the County Line could use to be straightened for safety. Logging and large trucks often run people off the road (even if there is no accident data reported--IT IS A PROBLEM!)
-
Need to widen the shoulder of the entire length of GVR on both sides for safer bicycle travel from N. Shingle Rd to Cameron Park Dr. This is a very popular section for cyclists to travel.
-
Need a center turn lane for 300 feet in both directions for the intersection of Loch Way and GVR.
-
Need to have a dedicated right turn from EDH Blvd to westbound Hwy 50. Traffic continues to back-up to the north on EDH Blvd. when there is a red light. Why wasn't this part of the original design???
-
Can this hill be flattened out to help the sight distance? It is a tough intersection with all the traffic going to and from Ponderosa High School.
-
Need to put the stop signs back in on Aberdeen Lane at Reem Ct., at Nawal Dr., and at Morning View Way. Traffic speeds are way too high westbound due to the 15 to 17% grade on Aberdeen Lane. Don't let resident's complaints about having to stop deter safety!
-
Need two full east bound lanes on GVR all the way to Silva Valley Parkway to help traffic congestion, especially during afternoon/evening.
-
Need a dedicated right turn pocket of some length on west bound GVR at Salmon Falls Rd. This would make a major improvement for traffic that backs up to the east at the signal AND it would greatly help to eliminate the cut-through traffic that uses Allegheny Rd/Malcolm Dixon Rd to get to Salmon Falls Rd. If it were a protected right turn that merges with the north bound traffic from EDH Blvd, even better for the flow. Note, this is not just a school hours type thing. I find it much faster 80+% of the time to go Silva Valley/Allegheny/Malcom Dixon to get to Salmon Falls rather than using GVR.
The planned signal interconnect will not solve this problem!

Getting out from Rocky Springs Road is tough at any time, but especially during school hours. From an aerial view, it doesn't look like it would be a problem, but with the speeds on GVR and poor sight distance (esp. to the east) it is a real safety issue for those who have to use the road daily. It should not matter the number of people impacted, even if it is only one person--their life is just as important as the convenience improvements being made in other areas for the masses.
-
Restripe/construct a two way left turn lane on Cameron Park Drive at Toronto Rd to allow for easier left out movements.
-
Traffic along Silva valley caused by the pending opening of the new Hwy 50 interchange needs to be addressed, especially as it relates to the area around Oak Meadow Elementary where traffic already backs up out of the parking lot during drop off and pick up hours.
-
The frontage road from EDH Blvd through to Sophia Parkway needs to be completed.
-
I am very interested in ways to mitigate the increasing speeds on Brittany Way, which is used as connector between Folsom and El Dorado Hills. During the school year, this route is used, and there is excessive speeding. Can the county put in speed bumps, or at the very least a speed indicator to slow some of the parents down?

Vehicle parking to access Auburn Recreation Area Trails from Pilgrim Way, severely impacts this thoroughfare. I am not sure of the designation of Pilgrim Way, but there is regular traffic on this street connecting Auburn Lake Trails to highway 193. There is insufficient space for curb parking and often parked cars will block an entire lane of traffic. Signage is non-existent.
