uncontrolled crosswalk enhancements needed. Lots of bad behavior/failure to yield by drivers. Maybe street lighting would help that?

Can you remove this slip lane and convert to a ped plaza? Why is this needed. A great public space opportunity.

Remove this entirely unncessary slip lane that makes it feel unsafe to cross Telegraph/Claremont

While I can appreciate there is freeway traffic at this intersection, this is a major barrier to ped connectivity. Business on the north side of 51st feel a world away from the rest of Temescal.

Why are there push buttons here? In a Downtown area, seems like there should be not push buttons, peds should always get their phase.

This crosswalk has incredibly limited visibility at night. I ride my bike through here daily and watch pedestrians cross and observe cars who cannot/choose not to see them, particularly at night. It's just two white crosswalk stripes. Needs enhancements and better lighting. This is also a bus stop!

This uncontrolled crosswalk feels unsafe. Needs enhancements and better visibility for pedestrians. Busy farmer's market and commercial district is so close by.

Crossing Distances are too long and the cycle length is too long. Could you widen the medians and signalize each half of the crosswalk separately?

Signal timing does meet the needs for bicyclists and pedestrians during the peak period. The cycle length is too long and doesn't match traffic volumes. It would be better to reduce delay for pedestrians, especially to prevent crossing against the light. This is true at many signals on 14th east of Broadway.

This whole area is pretty terrible for pedestrians. Park Boulevard should be put on a road diet and the street should be returned to its original alignment via Park Boulevard Way. This would be better for pedestrians. Sometimes this area feels like a freeway.

Take down the freeway and return the land to pedestrians! Why do we need a freeway cutting through our city so that people from the suburbs can get to San Francisco? Replace the freeway with a new BART or other rapid transit line. Build new houses and parks along the rest. Would be great for pedestrians!

No real sidewalks. It would be great to have a bike path and side walks connecting Montclair to Oakmore and Glenview.

More crosswalks in the commercial stretch of Park Boulevard. I see pedestrians cutting across the middle of the very long blocks all the time.

Bump out the sidewalks at Boston and MacArthur to make pedestrians more visible and discourage both parking near the intersection, which limits visibility of cars coming over the hill, and discourage drivers from making u-turns in this intersection. Two pedestrians have been killed at this intersection.

Appreciate MLK Jr. Way for it's vehicle efficiency as well as the fact that I am able to easily cross it with my baby in a stroller and my dog. There are wide gaps in traffic from either direction which help to aid in my crossing the street without disrupting traffic flow. As a commuting Oakland resident I also appreciate the ability to easily get into and out of my city easily without having to utilize many residential streets. It is a nice wide thoroughfare that is used very efficiently to keep cars off of adjacent residential streets.

55th Street is a very nice wide street. Well used as vehicle thoroughfare. Happy to have this street in my neighborhood to help me get around efficiently by foot, bike and car

No need to further reduce traffic flow with lights, but flashing pedestrian lights would help driver awareness. I walk here often with my dog and toddler. Driver awareness is the largest concern at this intersection

I feel like I could be run over every single time I cross at Grand Ave. at Lenox (unsignalized), or any other unsignalized crosswalk along Grand. I usually wait until there are the fewest cars and run across, because the chances of all 4 lanes of fast-moving vehicles will see me, let alone stop for me, are very minimal.

The Broadway underpass at 880 is very unappealing, and dissuades people from walking from 12th Street BART to Jack London Square. Some small investments in the underpass area would go a long way -- sidewalk cleaning, lighting, and perhaps some public art. The Grand Ave underpass at 580 is a good example of making an underpass safer and more appealing.

This intersection would be greatly improved by use of a european-style roundabout.

There is a stop sign here (53rd & Market) that people frequently run, and don't look for pedestrians. There is a blinking stoplight at this 4 way intersection, but it never turns on -- why? It should be on to help alert drivers of the stop sign.

There is a senior apartment, Allen Temple Arms, and East Oakland youth Development Center nearby. There needs to be better crosswalk with flashing lights for pedestrians.

Because there is a school and public library, there needs to be some signs telling people to slow to 25 near the school and there needs to be better striping, lighting and signage, flashing lights for pedestrians at the intersection of Rudsdale and 81st Ave.

There are a lot of cars and diesel trucks at this intersection. There needs to be better striping and bulb outs or other things for pedestrian safety. The East Oakland Boxing Association is just down the block. The signals need to be updated with timers as well. 98th Ave in general needs more improvements for safety near the schools in particular.
