    - Smaller buses would be more efficient
    - More frequent service is needed
    - Stops should in close, safe walking distance to senior trip generators
    - Regional buses to St. Pete, Tampa, Clearwater would be nice

    I understand the right hand stacking lane is scheduled for construction on FDOT's 2017/18 plan. Any chance the County and Cities could forward fund this improvement now to help improve the situation versus waiting for two more years. It seems this could be possible as long as there is an interlocal agreement with FDOT to ensure reimbursement in FY17/18 when the moinies are avaialablen the budget.

    The community of Riviera Dunes is isolated from Palmetto by 41. With the additional growth comimg from the planned hotel and medical center, pedestrian and bicycle access under/over/around Rt 41 would tie this community into Palmetto

    The DeSoto Bridge could have lane flexibility so there would be three lanes in in the morning and three lanes out in the evening. The width of 302 would accommodate this.

    Employers could stagger starting times so that everyone is not coming to work at 9 a.m.

    Of course, urban sprawl and overbuilding is the crux of the problem and Manatee County needs to be more careful about approving developments that create more traffic without paying for the roads.

    Safer bike lanes would encourage more use of bikes.

    Use of the river by water taxis would relieve congestion.

    Safety imrovements needed at this intersection. It is very dark here and people drive fast as they approach US 41. Put potential traffic signal here.

    Install "smart" traffic lights at ALL the major intersections in Manatee County, i.e. 41, Cortez, Manatee etc.
