This intersection at 20th/sunset/hill is very dangerous. I do not walk it or drive it if I can help it and I live on 20th. Drivers on sunset appear to use it as a quick pass-through to avoid Hill Road. Very few obey the 20mph speed limit. Westbound traffic on Hill turning left onto Sunset take that corner going very fast. Traffic calming, clearer intersection rules for motorists, or even closing off 20th or Sunset prior to the intersection are needed.

When traveling East on Sunset as you approach the intersection at 28th street it is very difficult to see the roadway to the South. There is a large tree/bush right on the Southwest corner which creates a sight obstruction. Please trim or (preferably) remove.

It is very hard for bikers to get to cross 10th street around Fort and Hays, especially in rush hour times. There are cars rushing across Fort and Hays. Whether the biker is traveling North or South, it can be very hard to get across without a break in traffic. Bikers need a way to cross.

This brick paved bike/walking path that you created between Myrtle and the Green Belt is wonderful. It is save and lovely. Thank you. I now ride my bike to work this way.

The bike lane that was created on Americana is heaven sent. I can commute now, without fear for my life. However, the bike lane ends abruptly at about Americana and River. I need to commute up the American Hill and then onto Latah street. This is dangerous here. I usually use the sidewalk, up the American Hill, as do most bikers. When I need to turn left onto Latah from Americana, where it turns into Emerald, that intersection is problematic. It is very hard to get across. It is dangerous for bikers.

Thank you for creating bike lanes here. It made it possible for me to commute on my bike from the north end to my job on the bench. Thank you.

This intersection (10th and Front and then 10th and Myrtle) is part of my commute on my bike. It is super scary to bike here. With the jump construction, there is no where for bikes to go except the side walk. Walkers don't like bikers on the side walk. These 2 intersections are downright dangerous right now because
    1. No bike lane heading South on 11th for these 2 blocks
    2. No bike lane or side walk or anything on 11th heading north for these 2 blocks.

I also object to the comment to widen 13th street. Traffic calming needs to be administered on 13th St to slow down cars and make it safer for pedestrians and bicyclists to use the street. This is a unique street that needs to meet the needs of walkers and bicyclers, as well as cars. Currently, cars frequently ignore speed limits and cause pedestrians and bicyclers to be concerned about their safety.

I too want to object to the comment indicating an idea of widening 13th St. Speed limit is 20 MPH and traffic data tells us people exceed that posted limit (or you can tell just by watching). We need traffic calming measures here. The street has a Junior High, thriving neighborhood commercial district, and one of the most popular parks in the city. Let's make this area an even more special place to be! Bulb outs are a great method of slowing traffic. 13th St is filled with bikers, pedestrians, shoppers, school children, etc. We need education on how the shared bike lane works for both drivers and bicyclists. We need raised crosswalks at key intersections.

Eliminate parking on Harrison. Don't widen the road. Make the non-parking area protected bike lanes.

Many cars use 17th as an "alternate" route when Harrison is backed up. They're already frustrated and angry from traffic and cars tend to speed down this street. Here are 13 children living on 17th between Resseguie and Ada! I propose closing off this "T" intersection completely.

Pedestrian crosswalks at both the entrances to this park would be a wonderful improvement in safety for pedestrians. There is currently no marked place to cross reserve to get to this well-used park.

Crossing Reserve Street where it meets Fort Street is very dangerous. Cars wait here to turn right or left focusing entirely on traffic coming from the south, waiting for a break. I have almost been hit numerous times trying to cross north to south as a car will jump out when you're right in front of it. I've seen this happen to others, too, more times than I can count. Better signage (there is NONE!) and an indication that crossing sidewalk traffic has the right of way is imperative. Someone will get seriously hurt here.

26th would be a great place to put "Sharrows" on the road. Sharrows combined with more speed bumps would allow bikes to control the speed of traffic on the street and slow down the vehicles that like to drive 45 + mph.

Few motorists travelling eastbound on Sunset navigate this intersection correctly (which is ambiguous at best). Many drive and stop at Hill in the middle of 20th perpendicular to northbound traffic waiting at the same stop sign. Motorists turning westbound on Sunset from Hill admittedly enter at a speed higher than 20 mph but could be forced to slow down/ obey the speed limit with speed bumps. I oppose prohibiting left turns off of Hill as this is an arterial route for the neighborhood.

I suggest placing a landscaped barrier at the north end of 20th St just south of the Sunset/Hill intersection. 20th St north of Breneman would be a dead end then and eastbound traffic on Sunset would continue straight to the intersection and stop sign at Hill Rd

I want to reiterate the call for 9th Street bike lanes. This is the main artery coming into town for everything east of 13th Street — and it's a dicey ride on a busy weekday morning. I tend to ride 10th to Bannock and then to the 8th Street lane, but that requires riding through Boise High, which isn't always feasible. Thanks! It's when students are filling the Boise High courtyard that I slip over to 9th and even just for a couple of blocks it can be scary.

if we could make a dedicated bike lane on third street all the way to Fort St. for better access to foothills from the green belt

The pedestrian crossing and light here is great, and absolutely necessary because of the school. However, the change in light pattern introduced a year or two ago is causing confusion and dangerous situations.

I live on this corner and frequently see cars bomb right through the red light, or through the flashing red light. There used to be a green light which would turn red, now the light is off, then turns red. I think this confuses motorists. Also the flashing red is clearly confusing people and I often observe cars starting to go even when pedestrians are still crossing, resulting in dangerous situations.

It felt much safer before when the light was green or red (no flashing red)

Bikers coming from Harrison heading South on 16th need to cross 16th to get to the bike lane on the Left/East side of the street.

Depending on the light, this gets tricky because cars are turning from both directions on Hays into both lanes on 16th. There is really no way for bikes to cross this safely except to trigger the pedestrian crossing and wait for that.

I bike this every day and this is the most dangerous spot on the route.

For cars driving toward downtown, this is a blind corner where the trailhead meets Warm Springs Ave. At the speed limit there is very little time to react to someone at the trailhead trying to cross the street to parking at the golf course. Please remove brush or reroute the trailhead so this is less dangerous.

I would like 8th to be one-way northbound from Union all the way to Lemp with one lane for cars and a bike lane, leaving plenty of room for cars to park on both sides. For southbound traffic, 9th could be one-way south of Lemp. We need to add bike lanes to these roads without taking away parking.

This corner has become very treacherous for both bikers and pedestrians. Communiting cars are clumped in such a way that forces the bikes and pedestrians to play a game of "Frogger" as they attempt to get across. Given the lack of a sidewalk and the poor visibility looking East, the biker and pedestrians have to creep into the street to see oncoming traffic. This all happens in tandem with cars trying to make the same turns.

This will only get worse with the two housing developments being built in the neighborhood. The Lancaster homes will produce more traffic having to compete for space while turning from Lancaster onto Hill and the town homes coming being built on the North End Nursery site will increase traffic on Hill passing Lancaster.

One additional note, school children will wait at the North East corner for a school bus. Given that this can be pre-dawn during winter months, it makes it highly difficult for cars to be aware of the pedestrians.

Would like to see bike lanes on both sides of Catalpa. The street has lots of walkers and bikers, now sharing a narrow sidewalk.
