The side streets should be made into a one-way grid system. The streets are too narrow to allow for traffic in both directions, on-street parking on both sides and bicycle traffic.

This is a very dangerous corner for cyclists moving west. The bike lane is not legal (far too narrow) and often covered with debris and rocks from the steep hillside. Even if a cyclist were to stay in the tiny bike lane, they are hidden by the steep hillside and drivers don't see them until they are right on to of them, creating a dangerous situation. This section needs a sharrow and a sign with "bicycles may use full lane".

Need a flashing crosswalk for children going to Longfellow. Too many texting drivers do not pay attention!

We need a sidewalk here. Cars drive too fast while small children play!

6th street from Fort St north handles a lot of car and bike traffic. Cars and motorcycles often speed down the stretch between Fort and Union but both sides of the park are frequently used for soccer clubs and other users so a speed bump would help to slow down traffic (but the speed bump needs to be bicycle-friendly.). Sharrow markings would help as well as fixing the West side curbs and road surface in the Memorial Park area to be safer for cycling traffic along the side heading toward Fort.

This area used to be patrolled by Ada County Sheriff, with the amount of traffic (both motorized and non) that currently goes through there it may be a good idea to look into patrolling it once again. It would probably reduce the illegal dumping and other illegal activity that goes on up there.

There needs to be a traffic light at Harrison and Resseguie due to the increase in traffic and erratic driving by cars trying to cross Harrison. The current traffic light at 16th and Hays can be moved and replaced with a traffic circle.

Signs should be put up to ensure the safety of bikers and walkers in this area. Dirtbikers should also be advised not to ride here, and signs should be posted. People have been severely injured in this spot due to the lack of signage and condition of the road. The pot holes are so big, a car wouldn't even drive on them. This poses a danger for bikers and walkers as they aren't able to be on the correct side of the road when going down. ACHD should maintain this road and should post signs, so that dirt bikers are well aware that their bike should be taken by truck or trailer to the dirt bike parking lot.

This entire road needs signage that restricts dirtbikes that are not street legal from riding on the road. There is a motorcycle parking lot designated to load an unload non-roadworthy or off-road vehicles. The condition of this road is pathetic and dangerous at many different times of the year. People should not be riding their dirt bikes up the road from their homes close by for convenience, it's illegal and ACHD should be held liable for any injuries or fatalities that occur due to the negligent signage on this road.

Can the walking path here be paved? It gets muddy and slipperly on the incline after rain.

I walk home from work (St. Luke's) in the evening when it's often dark. I cross Ave. B heading east on Jefferson on the south side of the intersection. Traffic coming from Jefferson (east end) turning left (south) onto Ave. B rarely sees me and I've almost been hit multiple times. I would say at least 50% of the time, the turning traffic does not see me and would hit me if I did not step out of the way or wait for them to pass. The intersection is well lit (especially the corner I start crossing from), there is a clearly marked sign saying "yield to pedestrians", and the crosswalk has a white pedestrian signalling that it is okay to cross. Somehow drivers still fail to look where they are going and keep an eye out for pedestrians. Can anything additional be done to improve pedestrian safety or driver education?

The bike lane on the west side of Veteran's is very small, making It near suicide to try to use it, especially with how much traffic is on the road. There is no bike lane on the east side of Veteran's. This forces bikes and pedestrians to share the sidewalk. Vehicles turning onto Stilson Rd off of Veteran's (coming North and South) do not see bikes or pedestrians crossing Stilson, and accidents are narrowly avoided daily. Please install large bike lanes on both sides of Veteran's. Veteran's is a route for many bicyclists and pedestrians, and in it's current state is very dangerous.

Speed bumps continuing all of the way to the end of the road would help slow 9th street traffic. The corner of Heron and 9th also needs a 3 way stop, and lane lines (or egress) to help turning traffic stay in their lane.

Anderson gets a fair amount of foot traffic with children. It needs sidewalks.

there is not a continuous sidewalk between the last subdivision before the hill and bogus basin road. This section is used by school children to walk to Highlands elementary. There are sections on both sides, but no cross walks to cross from one sidewalk or the other. At the very list there should be cross walks established to allow children to have a route that is on a sidewalk the whole way. In addition, the speed limit has been raised and is frequently exceeded. Changing the speed limit back to 25-30 MPH from the top of the hill to bogus basin would help make the route safer for traveling students.

As tax-paying business and property owners, we oppose the proposition to widening 26th Street between Hill Road and State Street in the Boise North End area.

This is what happened to 28th Street nearly ten years ago.

WE strongly encourage the ACHD to consider, instead, the installation of speed-bumps at regular intervals on 26th Street from Hill Road to Irene Street to control traffic speed along this street while preserving the relaxed life-style currently enjoyed by those living there.

One option for consideration would be to provide a sidewalk and bike lane (with lane safety cones) on 26th Street without widening the street. This may be possible if 26th Street is made into a ONE-WAY street with traffic flowing north from State Street to Hill Road. This one-way flow would in part discourage high-volume traffic.

In any case, speed bumps should be installed on 26th Street for the safety of pedestrians and cyclists, alike.

This is a perfect opportunity to turn Harrison Blvd. into a world class street. I'd like to see a travel lane, a parking lane and a striped and/or buffered bike lane. It could also be a great demonstration street storm water management through swales and permeable pavers in the parking.
I agree with the comments about pedestrian visibility at the intersections. Bulb-outs would be greatly appreciated to narrow the travel distance pedestrians have to cross at the intersections.

Having a pedestrian light button on the right when going west would be nice. currently the only button is on the south side of the street so if riding west one must cross the street to hit the button.

Bikes lanes would be nice. I ride in the parking lanes and some times in the street because the side of the road is parked up. the traffic is light enough that this is a nice street to ride on.

a pedestrian crossing would be nice. sometimes it is easy to cross the street and sometimes the traffic is heavy. I ride my bikes from camelsback part to home (Arthur st). Irene is the best street as it intersects 28th when is wide and nice to rid up.

The Road comes in at an angel making it easy for cars to hit bikes. it is hard for cars to see bikes and bikes to see cars. also there is limited sidewalk available.

I agree that the southbound crossing of Front between the Grove and Bodo is weird for cyclists, but we do not generally need lower speed limits (these are two different issues). If 20 mph is safer than 30 mph, then why not 15? 10? By this logic, the safest speed must in fact be 0! That's absurd, but 20 mph is almost as absurd on roads like these.

It appears to the casual observer that when Albertsons was expanded (which presumably it was at some point in its long history) Washington St. was cut in two. The planners did a pretty good job of continuing it as a footpath through the parking lot west of Albertsons, but then it all just falls apart in the Albertsons parking lot - the path literally ends in the flow of traffic in the parking lot. Albertsons should be made to restore the continuity of Washington through their parking lot and out the other side.
