The sidewalk here has an incredibly poor pinch point especially considering the brand new construction and the fact that the hotel and trail are going to be highly used.

A cycle track connection between the trailhead at Keswick dam to the rock creek trailhead would allow a lot more people to experience the sundial to Shasta dam ride by bypassing the heart rate hill barrier

Connect the Sacramento River Trail with the Great Shasta Rail Trail for an epic ride that people would fly from all over to experience!

Build paved trails to other regions, so we can draw touring cyclists and all of their money to our region.

Protected bike lane needed along Hilltop from Lake to Browning due to VERY high automobile speeds.

All of these shopping stores...actually, all stores should be required to have bicycle parking. Get rid of the car parking minimums and introduce bicycle parking minimums.

Continue the new bike trail spur to the north, so cyclists can access the rest of the stores. Help me access the stores!

Butte & Continental, site of a fatal bicycle collision could be a great spot for a protected intersection. It's difficult for drivers to see the other side of the intersection due to the topography at the intersection.

Please add protected bike lanes here so students can feel comfortable riding to school.

PLEASE introduce a protected bike lane from Lake & Market to Trinity & Market. This corridor marks the beginning of a lot of residential areas and the downtown. Why should cars get to travel 45-60 miles per hour next bicyclists separated by...paint?

This whole intersection screams CAR-FIRST. The pedestrian crossing takes forever. Reduce those crossing distances, particularly for seniors and people with disabilities.

I've labeled this as a walking issue but it affects all modes. The timing on the Quartz Hill/N. Market traffic signal is amazingly bad. I have literally seen ALL modes (cyclists, pedestrians, and cars) run the light thinking it was broken!!! Pedestrians should trigger the signal...always. Reduce the green time, particularly N-S on Market St.

The sidewalks are too narrow on the bridge. Due to outrageous speeds on the road, some cyclists need to use the sidewalk. The narrow sidewalk does not allow enough room for cyclists and pedestrians to pass side by side. It doesn't even allow enough room for only pedestrians to comfortably pass side by side. Many rough-looking types use this corridor, and it's unnerving to be forced into passing these individuals with no "comfort or safe zone" between.

Not sure why this part of Bechelli is marked as a bike lane since it isn't. There is a wider shoulder but it is often filled with parked cars. In order to avoid the door zone you need to ride in the traffic lane and since it is a narrow lane the only safe thing is to take the lane. on the north bound direction the bike lane ends at the giant flag and from there it is just a wide shoulder/parking lane and not a bike lane.

Most of Shasta View has plenty of right of way space to create a physically separated and protected bike path. Between intersections no driveways come onto Shasta View so no real excuse for not putting in a separated and protected bike path. The intersections are very wide and again have plenty of room for protected bike path and intersections. Make the route safe enough for neighborhood kids to ride up Clover Creek Preserve. Extend the protected bike path up to Hartnell so that people can get up to the Holiday Market safely which might encourage more people to ride/walk up to the market for those quick errands to pick up a few things at the market.

A trail from Mountain Gate down to Shasta Lake would be a great addition. Currently you either have to ride on the freeway or take the longer route down Old Oregon Trail/Union School. Riding up to Mt. Gate means going out and back when having a loop route would be much nicer.

Continue the project to expand the shoulders on 299 to make this route a more viable cycling route. With the expanded shoulders starting from Bella Vista 299 is safer, but not really totally safe since you are still close to high speed traffic, but one you reach the end of the expanded shoulders the route becomes much more dangerous.

In most areas of 44 it looks like there is plenty of excess right of way to create a paved multi use path from the Cow Creek bridge all the way up to Shingletown

Utilize the already existing dirt path along 44 and upgrade it to a paved path so that it is safer for people walking and biking to give people a better option for getting from E of Shingletown into Shingletown

EB on Hartnell just before traffic light at Hartnell and Victor no place for bikes to travel up to light or wait for light marked and cars coming rapidly to turn R from EB Hartnell S onto Victor. a green swath like is at EB Hartnell approaching lite at Hartnell and Bechelli would fix this confusion and danger for motorists and cyclists
