    Difficult to ride a bicycle on Cowles or cross the street due to excessive vehicle speeds. Additional stop needed in the vicinity of 8th or 9th Avenue.

    Land use drives transportation. The entire big box area is a disaster, and should serve as exhibit 1 in what results from free-wheeling development: unending motorized traffic and vast areas taken up by roads and parking. Needed: limited building footprints, change minimum parking requirements, require mixed-use development, and infill before making more raw land available. Quality of life for residents, not corporate profits, should be first concern.

    We really need bike/walking trails. Gilmore trail has high speed traffic and the shoulders are not wide enough to be safe for walkers and bikers. This greatly inhibits people getting out and getting exercise or going places without using a car.

    There is a heavily used path across the farm fields. Upgrade this path and provide a railroad overpass or arms that come down to stop pedestrian traffic for trains.

    Construct a trail connectiion between UAF trails and mushing trails using a new pedestrian crossing light.

    Add a separated path on E side of Farmers Loop Road. This area has a high volume of pedestrian traffic so paths are needed on both sides of the road.

    Sidewalks on bridge are too narrow for 2 bikes to pass each other, or a bike and pedestrians to pass each other.

    The bike path on Farmer's loop is useful, but is in poor repair. Anything faster then 15 mph becomes dangerous due to the frost heaves in the path. Cyclists moving faster then 20 mph would damage their bike and injure a pedestrian should they crash. A separated bike lane would prevent these issues.

    Cyclists/Peds have a hard time accessing the big stores. The lack of bike/ped access only increases the tension between bike/ped and cars.

    Having a crosswalk and/or stoplight at the Fred Meyers driveway. Many times I have been stuck on my bike unable to cross the road due to aggressive drivers. I have also helped KIDS cross the road here too. Way dangerous.

    Old Steese HWY does not have a sidewalk starting from Trainor Gate to the Johansen. This creates a lot of danger for pedestrians and cyclists in this area. A lot of car aggression due to them feeling like peds/cyclists are not supposed to be there because of no infrastructure or signage.

    Curbs and Sidewalks in this area are bad. Sidewalks have huge cracks and bump ups. Curbs are not ramps, but actual curbs at corners.

    Having a segregated bike lane and signage about bikes commuting through there would be highly appreciated. Too many people are driving too fast and too close to cyclists. It is very hard to bike on the sidewalk with the pedestrians.

    College road is difficult to bike on the sidewalk. With all of the driveways and corner ramps, the riders trying to get anywhere in a decent amount of time have a very bumpy ride. Having a separated bike lane would be really beneficial to all: bikes, peds, and cars.

    I think there should be a stop sign for people coming down the hill on Chena Hills Drive. Because of the shape of this intersection, it appears that if I'm coming up the hill and want to turn left onto Yeoman that I have the right of way, but if someone is coming down Chena Hills, they think they have the right of way (and they do currently). Because of the configuration of the intersection, it isn't obvious who should yield. I think a stop sign for those coming down Chena Hills would make the most sense.

    Roland Rd has almost no shoulders. It gets a lot of traffic, including bikes and pedestrians. I know a lot of folks would like a bike path constructed, so would I, but I don't think that is realistic. I would be happy with widened shoulders to keep pedestrians and bicyclists safe.

    Road is extremely narrow and heavy traffic. It's not wide enough in some spots for vehicles and pedestrians.

    College Road has sidewalks but there is no safety buffer (such as guardrail or landscaping) separating the vehicular traffic from pedestrians. I live in Wedgewood Apts and walk with my wife on these sidewalks everyday. We do not feel safe because cars are too close to sidewalk. The bike trail along Farmers Loop feel a lot safer compared to College Road because there is separation between vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

    Roland Road is very dangerous, especially in the winter and the road sees heavy use. There are major drop-offs on Roland, no guard rails and there is no room for error, as it is a very narrow road. Further, there is no shoulder and there is no room for bikers or walkers to safely use Roland. When two cars pass, there is barely enough room for the cars let alone for a biker or walker! Roland is in desperate need of guard rails, and a shoulder or a bike path. Please consider Roland for an upgrade!

    The existing multi use trail along sheep creek ends at the railroad tracks near ann's greenhouse. There is a high amount of bike and pedestrian use along sheep creek/goldstream road beyond the point where the trail ends. Because this road has limited shoulders, extremely rough driving surface due to frost heaves and settlement, and a high speed limit (with people actually driving much faster than the posted 55mph) it is particularly hazardous for cyclists and pedestrians. Furthermore the ken kunkle community center cannot be accessed via safe bike and pedestrian means, which is a huge negative impact on the surrounding community (e.g., children cannot safely walk or ride from nearby homes to make use of the playground, basketball court, ball field, etc. during summer vacation). Strongly suggest thorough counts be undertaken if the need for a major trail expansion along sheep creek/goldstream is not apparent. Any count must start early enough and run late enough in the day to capture commuting traffic as well. (6am -8pm?) A thorough review of accidents along this road should also be considered (not just accidents involving bike or pedestrians, but vehicle accidents as well because that goes to show how dangerous it is to be a pedestrian on this road). My personal story is riding bikes near triplehorn ln and having to dive off the road shoulder to avoid being run over by a driver of a pickup truck at 60+ mph. The only reason I am alive today is because I ride against traffic on this road and not with traffic, I do this because it is not a matter of if someone will be killed along this road rather it is when. I want every advantage possible and seeing the truck drifting closer and closer to the edge of the road was the only thing that allowed me to choose minor injury to myself and my bike over being killed. This was reported to the state troopers and the vehicle was never found.

    Sheep Creek Road has a large number of bicyclists and pedestrians and the bike path completely ends just before mile 4. The separated path needs to continue the full length of Sheep Creek and Goldstream Roads. Because of dangerous spring frost heaves that impair vehicular directional control all along this road, it is not safe to be on the shoulder when biking or walking.

    The bike path near the big bend in the road (affectionately known as Deadman's Curve) between miles 3 and 4 routinely has cars flipped over on or across it. The adjacent road needs guardrail to prevent pedestrian/bicyclist fatalities.

    This road has no shoulder and needs one for pedestrians and bicyclists. Lots of pedestrians on this road to/from airport.
