Comments for “PCTPA Regional Bikeway Plan Update”
-
Install Pedestrian hybrid beacon to allow bicycle and pedestrians to cross Roseville Parkway
-
Bicycle conflicts with high-speed offramp traffic
-
Widen Blue Oaks Blvd bridge structure over UPRR and Industrial Ave to provide sidewalks and Class IV bicycle facilites.
-
Restripe roadway to add Class II Bike Lane on Main Street between Foothills Blvd and Atkinson Street. Add Class III Bike Road sharrows and other signage between Atkinson Street and Washington Blvd
-
Add paved connection to Miners Ravine Trail from intersection of Lead Hill Blvd and E Roseville Parkway. Existing informal dirt path exists from pedestrian use.
-
Extend Dry Creek Class I Bike Path from Darling Way to Riverside Avenue and Vernon Street
-
Reconstruct I-80/Riverside Blvd interchange to include separated bicycle and pedestrian path with undercrossings and bridge structures to avoid conflicts at ramps, similar to design of U.S. 50/Watt Avenue interchange by Mark Thomas & Co.
-
Add and widen shoulders to provide Class II Bike Lane on Cook Riolo Road between Blossom Lane and Baseline Road.
-
Prohibit bikes on Barton Road

It's time to upgrade Auburn Folsom Road to at least a class II bike lane. There's been too many close calls and fatalities on this stretch of road, and the bike use is increasing drastically, as is the speed and carelessness of vehicle traffic. The class I provisions were made in a different era, but now distracted driving is more prevalent. I understand funding is limited, but perhaps it can be a combination of signage and public awareness campaign combined with bike lane upgrades.

Long-term goal for shared-use path from Edgewood to Lincoln Way, however, this is inside city limits and up to their local government, I assume.
-
Upgrade to shared use path between Bell and 80 would be preferable. I travel the road typically several times per day and ALWAYS see bike and pedestrian use.
-
Just wanted to say great work on the upcoming shared path in this area. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
-
Shared route from Joerger to Hwy 49 via Lone Star. Very popular recreational biking route with absolutely no sustained shoulder area. Also a problem area for runners/joggers/pedestrians. Probably worth considering as part of Hidden Falls expansion/access becomes imminent.
-
From Hwy 49 to Joerger Road. Bike Lane needed. Very narrow shoulders and high vehicle traffic between Joerger and Richardson.
-
Extend path towards Watt in an attempt to connect to North Sacramento bike trail
-
It would be great to have a shared use path around the lake and up the river. Like American River Parkway, but for placer county.
-
add a bike lane from auburn-folsom rd, all the way to the lake entrance at Granite Bay-Folsom Lake beach.
-
Continue shared use path from beals point to douglas bvld entrance to Folsom lake sra. Develop additional mountain bike specific trails.
-
Vineyard from Foothills to Crowder needs a bike lane that extends the whole length of the roadway. This is a nice lower traffic route that helps cyclists get from West to Central Rosevile. Much safer than Baseline where I have had close calls with people drifting into the bike lane. I have Gopro vid of this type of experience.
-
Very high priority to create a safe way for cyclists to cross the railroad tracks with out having to walk a bike (and destroy cycle shoe cleats in the process) or to try to ride across tracks which is high risk for cyclists. I would like to see a bike bridge or a dedicated lane with a barrier that goes under the tracks at the Washington and Vernon street underpass.
-
almost hit here last week by an inattentive driver who drifted into the bike lane. I have gopro video of this one.
-
A safe way to travel to American River Park way would be nice.

Cirby Ranch area is pretty well isolated from the north side of Roseville. Which limits me personally to riding circles around my neighborhood. Crossing the Cirby Way or Douglas bridges is just too unsafe to risk commuting to work. I work in West park so it is not realistic or safe to ride to the nearest trail that crosses under Hwy 80 at the Olympus Sculpure Park.
