Comments for “PCTPA Regional Bikeway Plan Update”
-
We had a bike lane on the CalTrans section of Taylor Rd put in about 15 years ago, but CT effectively removed them about 5 years ago. PUT THEM BACK. Also, never let CT do a re-pavement project where they only do the main traffic lane without doing the shoulder. Currently, the shoulder is way rougher than the main travel lane, forcing bikes into the main travel lane rather than using the FORMER bike lane.
-
Add shoulder/bike lanes on all of 193 between SC Blvd. and Gold Hill Road. (or at least between SC Blvd. and Fowler)
-
Add something to slow or stop cars that are getting in I80 westbound so bikes can safely cross the onramp. Add bike lanes to this section of Pacific (and complete all gaps on old 40 all the way from Roseville to Auburn. Maybe add a west bound only path that stays on the NW side of i80 (between the tracks and 80)
-
Allow bikes to make left turn onto 49 from Haines or create a counter flow path on the north side of Bell to get back to the Bowman/Bell signal to be able to cross Bell.
-
Sign and improve this cool route (and tunnel under i80) as a way to get from downtown to the Fulweiler Ave area. Find a good safe way to get from Garfield to the west side of hwy 49 (improvements to the Elm/49 intersection?)
-
Add width and class 2 lanes to Nevada St. This is an important route to the train/bus station
-
North/east bound crossing of highway 65 is very dangerous for cyclists.
-
This overpass is extremely unsafe for bicycle passage, particularly in the westbound direction. I use the sidewalk in the eastbound direction but I have not found a safe way to return westbound on a bike.
-
Fiddyment and Sunset need widening and bike lanes. High-speed auto traffic on these roads has increased dramatically.
-
South-bound bike lane needed.
-
There is a genuine need for safe bicycle passage across highway 65, particularly near Blue Oaks Blvd.
-
Need bike lane along Sierra College Blvd to Lincoln from Loomis.
-
Need bike lane on Midas Ave from Pacific to Whitney Blvd.
-
bike path from Sierra College campus to Granite, safely crossing the I-80
-
I'd love a better connection from Auburn to Folsom to connect to the American River Parkway trail system. Auburn Folsom leaves too little space for bicyclists
-
Please complete this Class 2 bike lane.
-
I can't even bring myself to make this overcrossing of I-80 and I have been biking in Placer County for 27 years! Maybe flashing lights to signal that a bike is crossing overpass.
-
Bikes can't trip any of the traffic lights around Kaiser and Del Webb, etc. So many traffic lights yet we are forced to find the pedestrian button to push. Arrrgh.
-
Make it so bikes can trip the traffic signal!
-
Need to make sure Class 2 bike lanes are complete along Virginiatown Road within the Lincoln city limits. Lots of houses and big church have gone in here. The City thought of cars, but forgot about bikes!
-
Need to fix this intersection so cyclists on the bike path on Ferrari Ranch can continue west towards the fire station on 193 on a bridge over the creek. Otherwise coming out into traffic to get through the traffic light is complicated.
-
Left turn pocket for motorists and cyclists turning from Taylor Road onto Ridge Road. Cars swerve around cars wanting to turn, into the bike lane. Very dangerous.
-
Rocklin needed to complete the Class 2 facility on Pacific Street years ago. Critical gap!
-
Class 2 Bike lanes needed to be completed for this critical gap. Prioritize this. Needed to be done years ago. Dangerous to have the Class 2 end for a section where cars are going 50 mph. You try it!
-
Add left turn pocket for both cyclists and motorists turning from Taylor Road left onto Ridge Road. Cars swerve fast into the bike lane to pass by cars turning left. Crazy dangerous!
Very popular bike route (and car traffic is just getting out of control.)
