I have lived directly on Riverside Drive in Riverside Village since 1993. As new homes and apartments have been built in the area, more and more cars are using Riverside Drive as a speedway to avoid three stop lights and time waiting in traffic to go west on State in the evening or south on Glenwood in the morning. The speed in this neighborhood is 20 mph but it might as well be 50 as some cars race through this neighborhood that is often very busy in the evening with dog walkers and bikers, especially during the warmer months. This same situation exists in the morning.Since I have lived here one person was killed on Riverside Drive, two cars have landed in the ponds, two vehicles have flipped over, and there have been several accidents. I pay an outrageous amount of property tax to live along the river but ACHD's decisions to connect all these subdivisions to Riverside is hazardous and irresponsible for safety in a 20 MPH neighborhood. I do not like speed bumps, but would prefer them to what is happening on Riverside Drive now. .

We need cameras to catch red light runners. This would solve many problems.

It is nearly impossible for northbound traffic turning left (west) onto Riverside to see northbound (wrong way) bikes crossing Riverside. I have seen several near misses. Bikes need dedicated lanes on Glenwood and need to ride with traffic.

Protected bike lanes on north and southbound Glenwood for better access to and from The Greenbelt and across State Street at Gary Lane.

Better merge lane for traffic merging onto State Street from Glenwood. Continual backups with drivers not understanding how to merge.

A bike lane on both sides of Glenwood would be beneficial for bicycle safety.

This is a dangerous crossing even with the traffic light. Vehicle speeds seem excessive at this location. 35mph speed limit to slow traffic?

This a difficult point when transitioning from the greenbelt to Riverside Drive on a bicycle.

It would be helpful if the left most turn lane on Glenwood had its stop line set back a bit further than the right lane, or if both left turn lanes on Glenwood were set further back from the intersection. When cars are making left turns from State onto Glenwood, the inside lane gets a bit pinched. Too often the people on State St. don't make their turns wide enough for the inside lane left turners to safely complete their turn.

It would be nice if the left turn light from State to Glenwood allowed the cars backed up to the start of the turn lane (during the red light) to make it through once the left arrow turns green. Too few cars can make it through one signal.

A Red light camera for Glenwood let onto State and State let on to Glenwood would solve a lot of problems.

The blinking yellow to turn from State onto Saxton is timed poorly in relation to the light at Glenwood and State. Often I will still have a red when there is no longer traffic crossing from Saxton and Walmart, and the cars at Glenwood and State are also stopped. The light does not turn back to a blinking yellow until the traffic from Glenwood and State reaches Saxton. If the turn lane got a blinking yellow just a little bit earlier, more cars would have an opportunity to turn before the long line of cars arrives from the State/Glenwood intersection.

This light not being in sync with the State/Glenwood light causes traffic to not flow during peak times-am and pm.

When heading from Glenwood to Garylane, you get drivers that are in the only business lane to turn into Albertsons, but try and beat the car that is in the correct lane to continue on to Garylane. Impedes traffic flow and causes congestion and close calls. Not only that but they are crossing a solid white line which is illegal. Again you are causing traffic to stall because you can't read traffic signs and don't follow the law.

When turning from Gary Ln to State, the signal is much to short, sometimes only allowing 2 cars. This backs up the turning lane pretty far and the lane itself is too short to accommodate all the cars waiting to turn, which backs up into the lanes passing straight thru to Glenwood

Only in/out from Glenbrier Manufactured Home Community. Becomes more difficult to get onto Gary Lane with each passing day, especially turning left (which is the most usual).

I hate having to wait through several traffic light cycles to turn left northbound from Glenwood to then get stuck at a light on State at Sexton. Time the light at Sexton with the State/Glenwood light so that it allows traffic flow on State St.

I personally have been rear ended and have almost been side swiped numerous times from people trying to merge over instead of turning into Alberstons. It is also very difficult to see when trying to turn out of the Alberstsons parking lot onto Glenwood/Gary

I drive this route several times a week and there are so many times when cars will come to a complete stop when turning on the yield, even though there is a lane that continues through to the Big Lots entrance. People stopped here have backed up traffic. In addition, this is the absolute worst place for a bicyclist to ride. There have been several close calls because the driver is looking left and not at potential people/bikes crossing here.

It would be nice to have a painted bike lane here. It's a little scary being on the right hand side of a car in a dedicated right turn lane because you never know if a car is going to try to turn in front of you. This is not at all a bike friendly intersection heading northbound onto Gary Lane.

I bike commute northbound on Glenwood. This is a really hard/scary crosswalk to use because northbound cars in the dedicated right turn lane aren't looking for pedestrians. They are looking left to see if any traffic is coming. It would be nice if in addition to the crosswalk there were a painted bike lane on northbound glenwood that allowed bikers to merge out of the dedicated right turn lane to the northbound lane.

There's no dedicated right turn lane here at Saxton. If you want to make a right turn, but someone is in front of you going to Walmart, you have to wait the whole light cycle. Very frustrating.

Difficult to make a left turn out of the Albertsons southbound onto VMP from either exits.

So many times I've seen cars going straight onto Gary from Glenwood run red lights because the way the lanes & lights are angled, they think the green left-turn lights are their cue to go.

Also, the yellow dividing lines as you enter Gary street straight from Glenwood are usually worn off & not visible. It's hard for people to tell that there are even two lanes. I've seen people in the right lane take up both lanes unknowingly & almost hit the person in the left lane.

Very difficult to take a left out of Albertson's onto Gary. The turning lane onto State is usually backed up, allowing no room for an exit southbound.
