At this location near Bonelli and Puddingstone Drive, there is signage that suggests a Marshall Canyon trail can be accessed. But the choices are either to head into the flood control channel, or to ride along the fence, both of which I've tried and both of which lead to dead-ends. Is there a real plan to link this "trail head" to the Marshall Canyon trail?

Often times this designated bike path is covered with so much debris, that fearing a flat tire, I get off the path and onto the roadway. When these conditions exist for several days, I don't even use the path and just stay on the road.

Suggest bike share lanes from the Pomona Metrolink area to Bonita, or at the very least caution, signs, cyclist xing. Also sings identifying old town LaVerne direction.

Suggest the option of creating a wilderness trail around the reservoir, California provided Cap and Trade grant funds for environmental wilderness improvements that encourage sustainability. It would be a great place to walk, run, ride bikes and spend some quality time in the outdoors.

In reference to Bonita High School, kids are taking numerous routes to and from school, there needs to be an evaluation to identify which routes are the most used in order to confirm their safety. Suggest having monitors/counters positioned at various areas of the school and or a survey to identify current routes. Other comments referenced Safe Routes to Schools, I think a survey is a prerequisite. Although the concern is Pedestrian, the process can be shared for bicycles as well.

Eastbound on Bonita just past Wheeler has a bad “pinch point” that requires cyclists to “take the lane” in order to prevent unsafe passing by motorists. Widening that small area would be an improvement with or without bike lanes. Sharrows may be better than nothing.

A bike lane needs to be added along the entire Puddingstone Dr route. Damien, Claremont, Glendora and Morovia high school teams all practice here. The Wednesday night Buds ride and other rides attract hundreds of riders. There's many blind turns to drivers making it dangerous. It's only one lane each way and there's room on most of the road to add a lane.

The "bike path" between Marshall Canyon and Bonelli needs a raised pathway the entire route like it does for a few short bits below Palomares. We've had several concussions this year during the two times the Damien High School team tried to ride this route due to the extremely slippery moss. The raised platform areas that existed for a short bit stay much dryer. This trail is dangerous and we can't use it as a team until it's completely dried out in the middle of summer the way it is right now.

Many other portions of this 'trail' are completely fenced off or have a horizontal bar across making biking through them difficult.

Modify this barrier so that a bicycle can be ridden past it.

Relatively high-volume of pedestrian use as this is the intersection nearest to the High School and is used to access the transit bus stop and dining/retail. Needs better marking (i.e. Continental Marking), made into a Yellow School Crossing for enforcement purposes, if allowed under law.

Posted speed limit is regularly exceeded by Motor Vehicles in this residential area. Time to narrow the road.

If La Verne has to put a traffic signal here to facilitate a guaranteed to fail "Bicycle Boulevard" it will cost a minimum of $250,000 for each intersection. Take that money and invest it in 21st century Bicycle Infrastructure on Bonita instead.

This is going to be the path to a combination Light and Regional Rail (at Pomona-North) station within the decade. What funding has La Verne secured for persons walking to this station, or has the focus only been on the Light Rail only station inside the City of La Verne.

La Verne wants Motor Vehicles coming from Pomona to slow from 40 MPH to 35 MPH here. Except Motor Vehicles do not slow down upon entering La Verne. What better way to do that the by adding Cyceltracks to narrow the road?

Please DO NOT consider 3rd Street to be a replacement for installing bicycle infrastructure on Bonita. It will fail and the bicycle users who will be on Bonita will be left vulnerable to crashes and casualty/fatalities.
