Left turning drivers, going west, are stacking up and using aggressive movements to make the turn. This should have a left dedicated signal phase.
-
Bike lanes north to this spot is very unsafe. Its a long time to get through intersection when people are used to stop and go. Even in a car it is tricky. Can you say Roundabout?
-
ped ramp is at a 45, into the intersection, which pushes people into the right turning traffic. I've seen skateboards and bikes going northbound on the sidewalk, who are competing with right on red drivers who've blocked the ramp. Also, for straight through cyclists, they are in peril of being run over by right turning drivers unless they get out into the car line. Dangerous for all users.

The bike lane is great to here but is tricky if making a left turn. Continuing to next light results in a confusing and unsafe 3way multi directional intersection.

We need a smoother transition from 11th to the Pioneer Pathway.
-
Crossing 11th at Myrtle and crossing it at Front are the places I feel unsafe. The rest of 11th, especially residential (Heron to Fort) seem safe and I have never had issues with traffic as it is not as heavily used in my opinion.
-
Myrtle and 11th is a dangerous intersection if you are on the Pioneer Pathway and are going North. Is there a way to calm traffic or have ped/cyclist only walk /ride signals so cars do not run into you?
-
This is the most dangerous intersection on this route esp. during rush hour. Vehicles are not looking for pedestrians/cyclists as they are impatiently trying to get on the Connector. Perhaps a ped/cyclist only crossing signal???
-
Difficult to cross Fort if cars are parked near the intersection.
-
would suggest that traffic lights be synced to allow continuous travel at a reasonable pace. Once I catch a light on 6th I can usually stay with traffic and ride non-stop through the next 4-5 lights without too much effort. That is a big consideration when I consider a route.
-
If Pioneer would be the main connection to the greenbelt, I worry about safety turning left on bike to go north bound on 11th here. People coming off the connector are still going >50mph in some cases here, and even 35 is a little fast.
-
I'd like to see a proper cars-stop bikes-go signal here to cross River, and a continuation to the greenbelt to the south. Pioneer Path is OK but I worry about contention with pedestrians.
-
Please ensure this and nearby streets that cross 11th have safe turns onto 11th going all 4 directions. Drivers in this area seem to have a heck of a time yielding here.
-
Tough crossing sometimes.

Narrow streets ,Parked Cars

Heavy vehicle traffic Downtown

Crossing Myrtle & Front St's

Why start it here? Biking is fine in this neighborhood.
-
This is where biking gets rough.
-
Such a special little path!
-
It's hard to find/get on to Pioneer Pathway from the Myrtle intersection. Not intuitive.
-
There is nothing enjoyable about this part of 11th Street when you're riding a bike. If I'm trying to access the Greenbelt, I almost always go over to 8th Street instead.
-
Drivers trying to park/exit at the YMCA are crazy! They don't look for bikes, and I find this stretch incredibly dangerous. I generally avoid it, and I never use 11th here with my kid. We always go over to 10th instead.
-
This is a tight little path, and the current placement of the sheds make visibility very difficult.
-
Better signage for pedestrian/bike crossing here. (But not a flashing/HAWK light - currently most drivers stop when they see someone waiting to cross. But when there is a light, they tend to stop ONLY if the light is crossing. This is why I avoid the intersection of Harrison & Lemp. It's easier to cross at the intersections w/o lights)
