Illinois needs a wide shoulder for bike lanes. It is a main artery into the city but very poor for riding
-
a commuter (year round) from Chena Hotsprings Road. The Old Steese could use a bike lane shoulder between Chen HotSprings Road and Farmers Loop Intersection
-
Highpedestrian traffic in summer due to the boat launch at the end of the road. As a vehicle operator I often times have to go around pedestrians . As a pedestrian it iss difficult to feel safe w/ cars passing closely at 40MPH
-
parts of the path is underwater at times. It is a roller coaster. I almost went off my bike the only time i rode on it. It is un-necsessary, the shoulder is wide
-
I like to ride through Wainwright and then on Badger Rd. bike path. However cannot return through Wainwright and am forced to ride the rich
-
College road needs a bike lane in the street. It will get plowed better in he winter and they will not have to worry about pedestrians.
-
Not only is the path not plowed but snow from the street is plowed up on to the sidewalk
-
Need a good walkway form downtown to college (illinois)
-
Tana Farm road needs a walking running riding path
-
Be really nice for tourists to be able to walk from gerogeson B. gardens to musk ox---- To hard to explain the Skarland to them.
-
Too dangerous to walk on during winter because of snowmachines. To gravelly to ride in spring and fall because of 4wheelers.
-
College Road Mikes chevron-----Creamers--- wish path didnt end at that curve by the fairgrounds
-
This wide clean well maintained ped/bike path is a pleasure to take a stroll on.!
-
Would like to see bike lanes connected to these roads. Yankovich, Miller hill, and Goldhill!!!!!
-
No means (safe) for pedestrians and cyclists to navigate the Steese/Johanssen monstrosity!
-
Dangerous intersection for bikes. forced to cross two on ramps and one off ramp. Sidewalk near creates blind curve along with narrow sidewalk. cant see if anyone is coming.
-
Just rebulit Phillips Field Road and parts of it have no shoulder. Few options for bikes.
-
Love the walking Path and bridge around the river and on the way to Ft. Wainwright
-
Illinois is not easy to walk or bike on; Gravel shoulders and crumbly sidewalks.
-
The bike walking path needs to cross through to connect with Park ave and the Chena Wayside.
-
A. Once goingSouth on Peger I took the bike path/sidewalk under the bridge and came up on the other side and discovered there is no sidewalk. I didnt want to cross the street twice but didnt like biking against traffic
B. Once on the sidewalk going South bicyclists cant get off wasily to get in to pioneer park.
C. The intersection of Peger and Airport Way is Very dangerous because the so called bike route on airport way crossed peger a distance from the light. Not only is there no curb out, but there is a mnedian strip to cross.
-
Please consider expanding the study to include Cripple Creek Area Residents. A number of people commute on bicycles, but, it is dangerous using Cripple Creek Rd. due to inadequate shoulder width. As traffic increases in the area with the Tanana 440 development non-motorized commuting will become even more dangerous.
-
We live only a short way up Chena Ridge and one of us works at UAF. Chena Ridge sure could use a wider shoulder. A seperate bike path would be great for anyone with kids.
-
Wide sidewalks along Yankovich and Miller Hill and Gtoldhill. This is SAFER than separated path. Also public should be notified why bicyclists ride on the road. they often yell out the window to get on the sidewalk.
1. It is safer on road (even with the threat of angry drivers)
2. There is often too much gravel on sidewalks/ bikepaths (from 4 wheelers) -
University bridge and sidewalk ar so narrow
