I was at a Clackamas county meeting where a commissioner stated that due to budgetary concerns, the county might have to look at allowing some roads to return to gravel. That there was not enough money in the county budget to keep up with the paving repairs that county roads needed. So why is there still a plan to build a new road through the Three Creeks area. A very high impact on the natural area that is there. For a very limited traffic congestion improvement. If current roads cannot be maintained, we should not be building new roads that The City of Milwaukie, all of the NDA's, and numerous conservation and livability groups have come out in opposition too. Listen to the people that live and work in the Three Creeks area. Drop this ill conceived plan from the TSP. It has been tabled. It is time to remove it once and for all.

Safety issue for cars, walkers, cyclists, buses from Park Avenue to Lake Road. Eliminate traffic through "hair pin" turns. I'd like to see that area closed to through traffic.

Hwy 211, a state route, through Molalla provides ample vehicle access but does not thoroughly support bicycle and pedestrian access. Providing a safe route from the east side to the west side of town, with access to shopping areas, would be great. Toliver Rd almost delivers this but does not provide safe access via Hwy 213 to the west side shopping area.

  5. January 30 2012

Bicycle connection from the bike path along the river to up town OR City is weak on 12th St. Auto lanes are not well defined between 99 and Main, making it hazardous for cyclists.

  6. January 30 2012

North bound Trolley trail users and bicycle commuters arrive at the SE corner of SE 17th and McLoughlin with no efficient way to get to the north bound bike lane on 17th. Would be great if there could be a pedestrian/cycle priority at the crosswalk. At this point the light is so long that most users ride north on the sidewalk to an awkward crossing of 17th at SE Lava Dr.

Widen and continue pathway and bike lane from SW Pattulo to Rosemont Round-a-bout on Stafford Rd. It is unsafe as it is for both pededtrians and bike riders.
Also, provide bike lanes and pathways from Stafford Elem School south to Borland-Stafford Round-a-bout.

Going north on #213-difficult to see exit set up to right onto Macksburg Rd. Going east. Exit dots area is small and late making it unsafe changing speeds. At night, very difficult to see....needs white lines on edge of road so don't go into ditch. Directional sign on island..though new..has already been knocked down. Really dangerous at night in the rain..visibility very poor.

  9. January 26 2012

There are continuous accidents on 213 for a variety of reason- including logging and other agricultural trucks; tourists; commuters; and local traffic.
    Speed limits are ignored.

  10. January 24 2012

The Trolley Trail crosses McLoughlin at one location (Jennings). Without ROW acquisition (NW quadrant) and sidewalk/intersection improvements, there will be increased safety risks for the high number of commuters, recreational users and children biking this trail.

  11. January 24 2012

Hwy 213 is frequently used by pedestrians and cyclists, but there are no sidewalks and barely a shoulder to speak of. This ends up putting peds and cyclists actually ON the road, which is extremely dangerous to both them and drivers. I realize that this is a state highway, but having some sort of safe route for non-motorized vehicles/peds would be great.

  12. January 24 2012

This section of Jennings Ave between River Rd and McLoughlin (where I live) is a great example of a segment with a high pedestrian use but no sidewalk or bike lane. There are two elementary schools off Jennings Ave as well (Candy Lane and Jennings Lodge). There is also a 30 mph speed limit that is routinely exceeded on this segment.

  13. January 23 2012

Hazardous intersection - especially for people trying to get across Johnson Creek Blvd from Fred Meyer to SE 80th and vice-versa. I've noticed this and another person suggested this location when I mentioned the TSP update to her.

  14. January 23 2012

Right turn lane should be re-striped (entrance farther back) to allow for safe deceleration from 50 MPH without slowing down the traffic lane.

  15. January 23 2012

Right turn lane is too short to safely decelerate from 50 MPH, re-striping should fix this.

  16. January 23 2012

Do not widen SE 82nd Avenue from 5 to Seven Lanes. The problem is finding a secondary accessway to the regional center (aka Clackamas Town Center). There may be some need for NB widening, but not seven lanes. Also, 82nd Avenue should be the truck route between Milwaukie and TC, not Harmony Road x'ing the r/r tracks to Lake Road. Harmony should be downgraded to a local through street, keeping it two lanes max, with limited left hand turns. Purpose of two lanes is to keep impacts on Three Creek slopes to a minimum. Do not build a sidewalk on the south side of Harmony Road. This is also the area where Metro and others are showing an E-W Kellogg/Mt. Scott corridor "regional trail". This trail should NOT be close to the creek, as it is a salmon creek and would impact habitat. The idea of a "Springwater Trail" type of improvement from downtown Milwaukie (from Trolley Trail) to Mt. Talbert and points east toward Damascus is good idea, but NOT along creek. Could consider, for example designating Lake Road to say, Aldercrest Road, to say Rusk Road or going to Aldercreek MS and then heading north via something parallel to SE 82nd Avenue. Consider using Lake Road to Johnson Road and tying into regional bikeway along I-205. Also, consider using Lake Road, tying into Harmony Road and by narrowing Harmony Road to 30mph, lanes 9 feet wide and rest of pavement to wider bike lanes (there is a sidewalk on the north side).

  17. January 23 2012

99E continues to degrade the surrounding MAP area, in part due to speed, unsafe crosswalks, and general lack care. Not sure if an ODOT road can be included in this TSP document. I'd like to see the speed limit lowered, additional and safer crosswalks to facilitate pedestrian use.

  18. January 23 2012

Please remove the Sunnyside Extension permanently from the TSP. It's a road to nowhere, and should not be included anymore.

  19. January 23 2012

Often has lots of traffic and delay
