The City of Hayward is preparing a Local Roadway Safety Plan. The plan will identify engineering and non-engineering recommendations to improve traffic safety, and help the City get funding to implement the recommendations.
The final plan will consist of a comprehensive document that identifies and analyzes safety problems and recommends safety improvements in the City of Hayward, including at specific high-priority locations and for multiple modes.
We need your input on safety concerns for people walking, biking, driving, and taking transit in Hayward. Use the comment map to the right to enter your comment in one of the four Safety Concern categories.
The red and yellow dashed lines on the map represent the City’s draft High Injury Network, which are the roadway miles with the highest concentration of fatal/severe injury crashes citywide. The red lines represent Tier 1 segments (the highest crash roadways), and the yellow lines represent Tier 2 segments. 75% of reported fatal and severe injuries occurred on the High Injury Network.
La Ciudad de Hayward esta preparando un Plan de Seguridad de la Calzada Local. El plan identificara recomendaciones de ingeniería y las que no son relacionadas con ingeniería para mejorar la seguridad del tráfico y para ayudar la Ciudad a obtener financiación para implementar las recomendaciones.
