Monroe Avenue Conceptual Improvement Plan
Oregon State University and the City of Corvallis are working together to create a corridor plan for Monroe Avenue between 14th Street and 26th Street (as shown in purple on the map) that enhances walking, biking, and transit, as well as strengthening the connection between Corvallis and the university.
We want to hear your thoughts about this segment of Monroe Avenue and your experiences if/when you go there or travel through the area. Please use the map to provide your input in the following four areas:
- Safety/Security/Comfort Concerns: Is there anywhere on the corridor where you don’t feel safe, secure, or comfortable as you walk, bike, ride, or drive? If so, please identify where, describe the experience, and offer a solution (if you have a suggestion).
- Missing Elements: What's missing from Monroe that would really enhance the character of the area and travel along the corridor?
- Favored Places: What do you particularly like about being on Monroe? (e.g., a favorite business, a place to people watch, an easy place to catch the bus, etc.)
- Best Features: What features of the adjacent land uses and street facilities do you like and might want more of? (e.g., outdoor dining, bike racks, bus shelters, etc.)
This map is interactive, allowing you to pinpoint a location where you want to provide a comment. Simply zoom into an area of interest or concern and then double-click on the specific location. You will be able to provide comments and organize them by categories, to help understand the issue or interest that you express.
Additionally, please fill out this survey to provide information on how you use Monroe Avenue today and share what you would like to see the street become!
