This turn is super tight, and easy to miss. Smooth out the turn and tracks and/or install a round-a-bout.
-
Instead of a light that seems fairly outdated, perhaps a round-a-bout to control traffic and slow cars down.
-
Columbia Blvd is the main road with all the businesses on it. Why would you send all this extra traffic through residential area vs businesses who could use the extra traffic.
-
Can we paint a designated turn pocket here? Approaching columbia Blvd on 6th st. It looks like there is enough room to me.
-
This is a horrible spot for a round about s 12th has a blind spot entering a exiting and S 13th is a dead end with a very small turn around. Putting in the round about here will put needless traffic on a dead end road.
-
Needs a right hand turn lane into McBride. The school traffic backs up every day and clogs Columbia Blvd. for about 20 mins. A turn lane would confine turning cars to the right hand side of the current lane so that traffic can flow freely in the current lane. The entire area in front of McBride gets extremely congested twice a day. Any traffic control changes would be helpful.

14th and Plymouth park in the triangle?Needs to be a no parking park. The traffic is terrible here, this intersection
is hazardous, people turn onto Plymouth at high speed.I live on corner of Plymouth and its SCARY. -
The intersection at Hwy 30 and Bennett at one time had 3.2 million dollars allocated for improvements by ODOT. Then someone decided that they would spend the majority of thatmoney at the Millard intersection, to be completed by Spring if 2017. So far zip, zero, zilch. Except, of course, more accidents at Bennett rd intersection
-
Signaling the intersection at Hwy 30 and Bennett road will eliminate traffic accidents in this area and provide ample time for traffic flow to alleviate backed up traffic on Hwy 30 coming into St. Helens. It will also allow tourism and recreation vehicles/boats and kayaking greater access to the Marina and proper flow of traffic on Old Portland Road into downtown St. Helens for events.
-
This intersection sucks
-
4 way stop at this intersection would solve several issues?
-
This section of 13th should be closed to traffic between Plymouth St. and Old Portland Rd. And I agree a small park within the triangle would be a huge improvement.
-
See Architectural Design Guidelines for the Conservation of Traditional Design in Olde Towne, St. Helens (2012) as an e.g. re: undertaking installation of new buildings/roadwork without disrupting historical/historic environs.
-
Traffic speed coming down Old Portland Road around the intersection with 4th Street seems to be a concern.
Possible site for roundabout?
-
Traffic gets to congested during large events at the waterfront because we’re not letting visitors to our town know the routes in and out of downtown St. Helens. We also need signs directing drivers back out to hwy 30 via Columbia blvd, 6th street, deer island rd, etc.
-
The speed should change from 45 mph to either 25 mph like the upper area of old Portland rd or to at least 35 mph. A traffic light could also be helpful at this intersection on the hwy.
-
25 mph on the business loop of mcnulty way should be raised to 35 mph
-
The speed limit of 45 mph is too high on Old Portland rd. From the Bennett rd intersection to old Portland rd in Warren into St. Helens should be lowered to 35 mph. There’s neighborhoods on this road and if more traffic will be directed to this road the mph needs to be lowered for safety. People are driving easily 60 mph on this road and exceeding the speed limit of 45 mph all through the day and night.
-
Make a dedicated left-turn lane here. Everybody has to stop to wait that one person to turn.
-
WHY is there even a damn traffic light there? Make it a four-way stop or even a Two-way stop. But to stop traffic when NOBODY IS THERE? And yes, we've all noticed that if we do the speed limit, we NEVER catch the light, thank you.
-
This corner is to tight for the existing truck use. Semi’s cannot make this turn and maintain lane when coming or going, problem is the bottleneck about 50’ back from actual intersection.
-
This intersection can already be a tricky turn. If traffic increases I would expect and increase in accidents here if something isn't done.
-
This triangle would be a GREAT spot for a roundabout! Good idea!
-
The railroad crossing NEEDS to be smoothed out. Entirely too rough.
-
The bike lane on the Westbound Gable Rd lane is being used as a right turn lane. Bicyclists are put in danger there ever day. Need a dedicated bike lane/right turn lane.
