A pedestrian and/or bike connection across the churn creek waterway to the trail system to the east would safely connect Quail Ridge to area neighborhoods and could reduce traffic to Boulder Creek School.

  2. October 19 2017

The A.C.I.D. canal is an under-utilized resource for pedestrian or bicycle trail. Benches and landscaping could help create a central trail park connecting south Redding to downtown, park marina, and the Sundial trail systems.

  5. October 19 2017

This existing bikeway is neglected despite a high volume of both pedestrian and cyclist traffic.

  6. October 19 2017

Safety improvements are needed at this intersection. Not at all clear why the boundary of the safe path to school ends West of this intersection. Pedestrians use this intersection to the reach the RABA stop on Northbound 273.

  7. October 19 2017

How about a mixed-use path that flows seamlessly (as possible) from the trail east of where the sundial bridge trails come on Hilltop, all the way through the mall, Lema Ranch, Simpson University, and Shasta College? Please help get the bikes away from car traffic and fight for more dedicated bike space. It could be a beautiful ride.

  8. October 19 2017

Nice place for a mixed use (no cars) path.

  9. October 19 2017

Critical Pedestrian risk area, and scary to even walk a bike through here. Old Alturas should be a key East/West bike corridor but this bridge and other narrow spots make it far too hazardous.

  10. October 19 2017

There is a nice shoulder here that could be improved as a dedicated, painted bike lane, providing a corridor for citizens east of the city to bike to work more safely.

  11. October 19 2017

This crossing needs improvements for walking and bicycling....often see people in wheelchairs, people with strollers, etc.

  12. October 19 2017

Pedestrians in both Crosswalks during events at Cascade Theater tend to create traffic safety issues on Placer. Maybe get rid of the stops on Placer and install a Barnes dance for pedestrians to use at all times.

  13. October 19 2017

This intersection is a difficult crossing for walking and bicycling. Only crosswalks on some portions. Wide roads and fast cars.

  14. October 19 2017

Being able to cross Highway 44 safely (walking or biking) is super important....to connect Sequoia School (and Garden Tract, Park Marina, SCHC, etc) to the trail system and to the trail to Mt Shasta Mall....and to help people who live on the east side of town to get continue west

  15. October 19 2017

I want to ride safely through Burney along Highway 299 and also to connect easily to the rail trail - and get the rail trail built.

  16. October 19 2017

Shingletown needs a path along the highway for people to walk and bike

  17. October 19 2017

That would be great to have a bike lane on Placer west of Redding!

  18. October 19 2017

Really like the connection going east-west from Bechelli to Enterprise Park and Clover Creek. Seems like this section could be better than just having a bike lane....maybe buffered or bike boulevard on another street to connect?

  19. October 19 2017

This would be great for recreation and transportation....and to let people bike from Anderson to Redding!

  20. October 19 2017

This would be a great connection. Right now it's hard and dangerous to bike north from the neighborhood. Especially useful if shopping is built on Bonneyview. Also love the river crossing by that island!

  21. October 19 2017

Yes - a buffered bike lane would be fantastic on Railroad...there are already so many people walking and bicycling here with dark corners and narrow/inconsistent shoulders...and also others who would like to (including myself) but are scared of the cars. This should be a top priority. Also better lighting, at least near the curves as you approach the Buenaventura end.

  22. October 19 2017

Great to see improvements proposed by Shasta College and Simpson University. Would prefer a path or protected bikeway because of high speeds.

  23. October 19 2017

    Maybe consider buliding overhead pedestrian bridges over;
    1) Court St. & Placer or Parking structure on Court St.
    2) Market St. & Placer St.
    3) Cypress close to Pine Street and City Hall.
    4) Hilltop St. Between Cypress St. And Hwy 44.
Just thinking it might ease congested area's and help keep pedestrians safer.

  24. October 19 2017

This stretch of Buenaventura from Starlight to Placer Street needs a designated bike/ped path along the old City landfill to provide for a safe separation from vehicle traffic. Vehicles travel very fast along this section and most of Buenaventura. The bike/ped path would provide a safe connection to Placer Street and transition to the Sacramento River Trail.

  25. October 19 2017

Quartz Hill between Keswick and Benton/Court could use a buffered bike lane and not just a bike lane. Right now it's scary just to driving that route.
