With out knowing what is planned for the various cost estimates, what work is included in each column, it is impossible to say whether one is preferred over the other.

The intersection at Hoffman and Gun club has become an issue in recent years. Too much traffic on both to not have a traffic light in place to allow the traffic to get from Gun Club to Hoffmand. It is not abnormal to have 5-15 cars backed up at many times of the day

Adding lanes at the intersection of Main and Monmouth would be a huge mistake. It would damage the downtown and offer no meaningful benefit. Our priority should be to develop the southern arterial and reroute freight and farm equipment away from Main Street. Pedestrian and bicycle use of the downtown area has grown dramatically in recent years. Post-pandemic, it could quickly reach a level that makes the continued use of Main Street for freight and farm equipment excessively dangerous and disruptive.

4 blocks between stop signs on South 4th St encourages speeding. High use of commercial trucks join speeder with modified mufflers increase noise levels and is not safe for residents and their children and pets.

It seems like it is time to add a stoplight at this intersection.

Connecting I St to allow river road traffic to avoid the 3-way stop on Main to reroute commuters is important.

during higher traffic time, it can be really hard to turn in and out of Waremart, especially if you need to cross traffic to get into the parking lot or out of the parking lot. Not sure a stoplight is the solution, but this is a problem point in the city.

The intersection from 16th onto Mon-Ind Hwy needs to have a dedicated left turn lane signal. It's next to impossible to turn left from 16th onto the main rd, especially in the mornings and during school because of the oncoming traffic. This causes a huge backup of cars on 16th waiting for cars to turn left.

This intersection at Hoffman Rd and Gun Club Rd. really needs to be a 3 way stop. The traffic on Gun Club Rd has increased significantly, as has the tragic on Hoffman Rd. It's not unusual to have 10 - 12 cars backed up on Gun Club waiting to turn onto Hoffman, but can't because of so much on coming traffic. A 3 way stop would at least allow cars to take a turn, which would speed up the traffic flow.
