This is an awkward intersection to cross. After crossing Peger, you have to cross the access road (no light, crosswalk, or signal) to continue to the sidewalk heading westbound. Traffic turning onto the access road frequently fails to stop to allow pedestrians to cross.
-
South Cushman to Tanana Lakes needs wider sidewalks and a bike lane.
-
This area lacks adequate space for bicyclists. Bicycles are prohibited from the road, and the sidewalks are too narrow for bicycles and pedestrians to pass each other safely.
-
Need a marked bike lane or wide multi-purpose path in this area. It is impossible to get to the East Ramp safely as a bicyclist or pedestrian.
-
Dartmouth Drive needs sidewalks from Chena Pump to Trinidad (intersection of bike path). This area is heavily used by bicycles and pedestrians, all of whom must use the road.
-
The sidewalks from the underpass to Dartmouth Drive need to be widened. This area also lacks regular winter maintenance. Both sides of the road need improvement.
-
The driveway to Costco is dangerous for pedestrians and bicycles. This intersection needs a light, or at least eliminate the ability for drivers to turn left into the driveway.
-
A pedestrian crossing here would be a good idea, for people walking between residential areas to the east and west.
-
Joints along asphalt bicycle paths are jolting and make it too uncomfortable to ride. Clean out and infill joints.
-
The drainage all along Waugstroe Dr. is in very poor condition and needs fixed. Water ponding in the ditches and on the roadway - especially in the spring causes dangerous conditions for the traveling public.
-
I find Phillips Field Road has been maintained during this past winter season. Especially from the intersection of Illinois to the train tracks. AWFUL and dangerous.
I also notice the City has given up lighting the road. This too, ads to the danger during snow events.
-
Sidewalk ends abruptly despite large apartment complex and hotel just down the road. Frequent foot traffic on road from residents trying to get groceries at Fred Meyer and Safeway, including elders and families with young children. A sidewalk extension to at least Sophie Plaza is sorely needed.
-
Also a safety problem!
-
Intersection needs a right turn lane onto sportsman way from airport way.
-
Sidewalk should extend to Sophie's where majority of foot traffic comes from.
-
Ped safety. No side walk for peds. Peds walk in road in winter because there is no shoulder when snow falls.
-
Wouldn't it be great to connect the Farmers Loop bike path to the Birch Hill Rd bike path? This is a very dangerous spot for biking/running/walking but would really increase the utility of both paths. Additionally, make a crosswalk on both the north and south sides of the Steese highway intersection to cross the Steese.
-
This intersection often becomes congested during school hours.
-
It is often dangerous to turn onto Nelson because people drive to fast when it is icy.
-
This intersection is often dangerous to cross, especially when all lanes of NB and SB traffic are full.
-
Repp Road from the Badger Road intersection to Hollowell Road needs repaving. The existing pavement is 30+ years old. The road has only received some crack sealing and pothole patches. It's a rough ride for cycling.
-
Brock Road needs repaving. The current paving is 30+ years old, with only occasional crack sealing and pothole patches. It's a rough ride and not pleasant for cycling.
