The Savage Creek Boat Ramp location is an underutilized county park. This could be a perfect location for a park along riverside with an existing parking lot, with adding just a few amenities. There's an ice cream shop and restaurant across the street, making this a destination for folks if the path ends up along the south side of the river.

The GPID irrigation canals are quiet and have a wide path that would be easy to improve. This would get cyclists and walkers off the roadway and greatly increase the quality of the trail as well as the experience, becoming more enjoyable recreation and less road noise. Improvements could be made for fencing along the canal for private property owners and the continued maintenance of the path could make it easier for irrigation crews to access the canals. This area is blessed with a large network of irrigation canals and we ought to use them to improve our resident's quality of life. I live along the South Highline Canal and regularly walk it.

Crossing the river at Savage Rapids would resolve the issues with the train tracks at Tom Pearce and the steep hill on Foothill. There's an existing bridge at this location. The GPID canal to connect to Chinook Park would be a beautiful way to get along the river.

Double ped bridge. I'm sure this isn't realistic, but this is my idea to get past the tight spot east of tom pearce park.
I think the path should be near the river where possible
Where that's not possible it should be beside low traffic roads parallel to foothill, and avoid foothill
Next preference would be to share right of way with railroad.

It would be great to follow the irrigation ditch alignment, avoids all traffic and many of the issues. I think there is a bit of trail on the north side of I-5

This would be the best route, please approach private land owners and look into department of state lands along the river to get to foothill blvd. May not be feasible, but should be addressed in the report.

Definately use the existing asphalt trail to Tom Pearce Park and it avoids the hill before dropping into the park

Recommend the Rogue River Hwy (99) as the best route, primarily due to its width, ease of navigation for almost any age group, and better opportunities for pulling off the path for breaks.
I have also extended the path past the study area to show how the path could include Tom Pearce Park and also include Riverside Park as well as Reinhart Volunteer Park, if not at present consideration can be incorporated now for future planning.
Foothill is far too narrow a roadway with many blind turns and difficult topography for both juvenile and seniors to both ride or hike.
