Continue the multi-use path from where it ends at the Airport up to NE 63rd Ave. This will allow workers to bike to the Job Corp. and to the Leveda Brown Environmental Park. For me personally, I would be able to bike to the Alachua County Household Hazardous Waste center to drop items off.
Please extend the 6th St Trail. As one commenter points out, it dead ends at a Burger King currently. It should be connected to provide either a safe multiuse trail along Main Street or perhaps spur back toward 6th St which also desperately needs safe cycling infrastructure.
Just an absolute nightmare for bikes/pedestrians to cross here. The trail along Archer Road is nice but should be extended to connect with shopping along Archer Road.
Replace painted bike lanes along the whole of N 16th Ave, which are largely ineffective, with actual barriers to create separation between bikes and cars and better protection for cyclists.
Please make this stretch of S Main St as bike friendly as the stretch from S 16th Ave to S Depot Ave. Needs a protected bike lane or multiuse trail.
A nightmare intersection to encounter on a bike. The Waldo Trail is mostly fine before and after this intersection but this is one of the 5 most dangerous intersections for bikes/pedestrians in Gainesville. Please consider ways to make this much safer to cross.
It's incredibly difficult and dangerous to cycle to Sweetwater Wetlands Preserve, which is a shame because it would be a nice ride if the city/county added any sort of bike infrastructure or even a consistent sidewalk along both sides of Williston/Waldo Road. Ideally we would get a multiuse trail running the length of Williston and Waldo Road to encourage more safe cycling to our natural areas.
Main St is very bike/pedestrian friendly south of University Ave and then fairly bike friendly from University Ave to N 8th Ave and then very hostile to bikes and pedestrians north of N 8th Ave. Please add either a protected bike lane or a multiuse trail to make N Main St more like S. Main St.
the odd angle of this wide intersection at NE 8th Ave and N Main St makes it very unsafe for pedestrians to cross.
Needs either a street light or at the very least a pedestrian cross walk at NE 3rd Ave and NE 9th St. It can be a hazard for pedestrians to cross because cars tend to speed on NE 9th St since there's no traffic stops between University Ave and the roundabout on NE 8th Ave.
The sidewalk ends right before the intersection of NW 16th Ave and N Main St, forcing pedestrians and cyclists to choose between continuing on grass, walking through business parking lots or going onto the street where cars frequently drive fast. This area urgently needs a sidewalk.
NW 6th St needs a protected bike lane or an extension of the multiuse trail from NW 8th Ave north to at least NW 39th Ave if not all the way up to NW 13th St. Right now, the only moderately safe option is riding on the sidewalk which isn't ideal.
Dangerous crossing
The speed limit needs to be reduced to 55 or 45 here until it gets south of Tuscawilla lake. There are too many pedestrians for a 65 mph roadway.
SE 15th ST need bike lanes and repaving
multi use trails to go toparks safely
Multi purpose trails for community to enjoy different parks with kids
Bike lanes! Promote safe cycling to enjoy Depot Park
Good Bike Lanes PLEASE!!!!!!!!
Repave SE 15th ST
Needs good bike lanes
Need better cycling/walking infrastructure to/from park
People are always speeding, very dangerous for students walking or cycling to school.
CR 234 needs better bike lanes and lower speed limit. Beautiful cycling road but extremely dangerous
SE 15th ST needs safe bike lanes and sidewalks. Not a fan of cars but it needs to be repaved.
