Trail from micanopy to Rochelle parallel to road 234 would create bikable loop around Paynes prairie and connect to other trails like cones dike trail and camps canal trailhead
-
More bike lane safety/separation from high speed traffic and trucks.

MY BIKE COMMUTE ROUTE --
Pretty comfortable route except for the following…
• Crossing NW 43rd St at NW 13th Ave (need PHB or Half Signal; at minimum, wide median refuge in existing gore striping);
• Crossing NW 8th Ave at NW 38th St (could use bike push button in convenient location);
• Segment from 38th St to 34th St needs a bike facility or MUP (presently pedestrians and cyclists have to share a 5' sidewalk which is uncomfortable and unsafe);
• Intersection of 34th St and 8th Ave not designed for bikes (needs improvements);
• "8th Ave Hill" section can be stressful (MUP facility ends and in 'free flow,' cars speed;
• Intersection of NW 8th Ave and NW 21st St needs a bike/ped crossing enhancement (important for Florida Park and University Heights neighborhoods);
• 7th Ave should be designed as a Bike Blvd, including best practices intersection treatments at NW 13th St and 6th St, and possibly additional traffic calming;
• Signal Phasing at 13th St is not bike/ped friendly (over-prioritization of 13th St/441 encourages driver speeding and bike/ped 'jaywalking; EB permissive left turn also feels sketchy);
• Crossing at 6th St would benefit from bike/ped activated push button and high-viz markings and signage;
• 6th St Trail Crossing at University Ave is not good; Trail movement should get "Rest in Walk" and curb ramps should be reconfigured to be safer more convenient;
• NE corner of RAB at NW 6th St and SW 2nd Ave is 'jenky'/unsafe;
• SW 2nd Ave would benefit from some strategic (horizontal? (buses)) traffic calming -

raised crosswalks and protected bike lanes are needed due to speedy traffic and long stretch of road that leads to dense, walkable areas - SE Williston Rd
