Please leave this area as it is, a nature preserve, untouched. Maybe some pedestrian / bike paths would be fine, but no cars.

adding pedestrian and bike ways is a great idea, the people of the area could sure use it

The way to deal with a traffic problem, is to implement a plan which provides a solution to that problem. The problem this proposed road is meant to solve is traffic congestion and delay in journey times. This does neither. It doesn't solve the problem only moves it further north, and will replicate those delays at other intersections. There are solutions which have already been suggested, re-timing traffic lights, building a better interchange at 224/82, that will help to alleviate the congestion problem to a higher degree that the proposed Harmony extension.
The problem has been caused by developers being allowed to build in Happy Valley without being required to fund road improvements for north/south traffic. The problem can be stabilized by the stopping such development until such time as developers fund these road improvements. Unfortunately Happy Valley seem content to expand at cost to, and with disregard to the effect it has on, their neighbors.
As long as Happy Valley continues to expand these traffic problems will continue. Harmony Road extension is not the answer and should not be built. Look for a long term sustainable solution.

This stupid road is a costly solution to a problem that doesn't exist. Let's save our resources for something other than this DTD pet project that nobody supports.
TSP ID: U001
This road is a bad idea. There are so few natural areas left for the community to enjoy, and abundance of roads for traffic to move. I say we spend the money (if it even exists) on preserving the delicate ecosystem.
NO!
TSP ID: U001
DO NOT BUILD THIS ROAD! There is no traffice inconvenience that would justify the obliteration of Three Creeks.
TSP ID: U001
This is a great location for a park, not another road! Please consider more than just vehicles in this decision. This is how community is strengthened-through parks, not highways. Please think carefully before you pursue this ill conceived idea. Follow the money-and move some of it to nature's corridors . David

There is a reason this project was shelved before, and it needs to be put to rest forever. The road is unnecessary and destructive, not to mention a huge waste of taxpayer money.
STOP IT NOW!

I strongly oppose the Sunnybrook Extension. The Three Creeks Natural Area is a vital ecosystem supporting wildlife and one of the last white oak stands. It would be a travesty to destroy this rare and beautiful habitat to build an expensive road that nobody needs or wants. Please stop this project once and for all.

Please don't build this road- The community at large does not want this roadway. We do not want increased traffic in our neighborhood-
There is no reason to destroy this large ecosystem so non-community members can drive faster though our town.
PLEASE STOP THIS PROJECT

Supported. current situation is unsafe for bikers.

This is a lovely natural area that would be irreparably damaged by the proposed path. Please don't destroy one of the few remaining natural areas around in the name of making it more "usable." The citizens of this area largely oppose this development, which has already been defeated once, and it is a clear waste of money on top of being destructive.

Great idea, much needed.

A multi-use, paved trail should not be routed through the Three Creek Natural Area. The natural area should be a place of reflection and quiet where nature is accessible, not a thoroughfare by bike. Gravel or other water permeable and narrow (max 3ft) natural surface trail would be very welcome provided that the alignment avoided unnecessary environmental impacts.

Sunnybrook Blvd Extension is and has always been a mistake. It has unacceptable environmental impacts and should be shelved permanently.

You guys really have the time and money to build this road, despite all the public upheaval around it? Wow, you must have a lot of free time and extra money.
TSP ID: 2102
I heard about this almost 10 years ago. Someone has to take a stand and say no. No to Sunnyside expansion. It encourages sprawl and destroys one of our last remaining natural areas. Take the Max.
TSP ID: 2102
This is a horrible idea that's already been shelved once. Why is the County trying to resurrect it? We already have plenty of transportation options in this corridor, and it cannot justify the destruction of one of the last remaining areas of oak savanna in the State. Please, take this proposal off the table once and for all.

Sunnybrook Blvd extension is a terrible idea. The natural world and the local community's access to the 3-Creeks is more important than your pet road project. Stop pushing this project against the will of the people. .
TSP ID: 2102
This project would do way more bad than good. I use Harmony Rd. and roads connecting quite frequently and they are perfectly adequate. This project is unnecessary. Three Creeks Natural Area should continue to be protected, not damaged.
TSP ID: 2102
This natural area should not be sacrificed to build a mildly useful shortcut for cars. That is ridiculous and short-sighted. The cars have many other roads to take, but once the trees are cut and that area is paved, we'll never get that back.

The Sunnybrook Blvd Extension would compromise air and water quality for residents of Milwaukie, and destroy the last vestige of a rare white oak habitat within the 3 Creeks natural area. Furthermore it does not eliminate congestion, instead only creates a bigger traffic bottleneck at Harmony Rd and Linwood Ave.
TSP ID: 2102
I am amazed that the County staff is still trying to push this road proposal. It is remarkable that the government is willfully ignoring the overwhelming community opposition that has only grown stronger over the years. We need to permanently protect the natural area and ensure safe access from the community college and aquatic park.

This project would destroy rare and unique oak woodland habitats at the Three Creeks Natural Area. It would cut off Three Creeks Natural Area from the Clackamas Regional Center, which is already park-deficient and is being planned to accomodate thousands of new residents living in higher density housing. Building this connector eliminate the opportunity to foster walkable connections between Three Creeks Natural Area and a dense urban community.
