Another unusual auxiliary site with a 4 to 2 lane drop for the eastbound lanes at Ferntree Gully Road & Stud Road. SCATS data should be readily available to identify lane utilisation (in 15-minute blocks 24/7).
-
Westbound auxiliary lane on Ringwood Bypass has 10% to 16% peak period utilisation due to short downstream receiving lane. The auxiliary lane is lane 1 (of 4). Additional issue is that lane 2 serves a very popular destination at the ramp split about 500m downstream so some traffic from lane 3 attempts to force into lane 2 at the same time all of lane 1 traffic attempts to merge.
-
Old Cleveland & Tilley - added lane both inbound and outbound - currently outbound lane is mostly used by buses but inbound lane is for general purpose use.
-
Appleby Rd & Kitchener Rd. It's a 3-legged intersection.
-
Hamilton Road & Maundrell Terrace

Will this work? It's on a highway at a smaller town. We see a lot of holiday makers here.

The one at Rode Rd and Appleby Rd is fairly new. I've only driven through on weekends when traffic is pretty light.
