Cars are using College View Dr as a alternative route to Post Rd. This is a residential area and cars are speeding through the neighborhood. Also, the turn lane from Wickham turning into College View is dangerous for residents. Cars turning left from the Publix Shopping Center pull into center lane on Wickham and block residents turning into subdivision.

This school zone is an epic disaster of biblical proportions in regards to traffic flow. regardless of children being present, this school zone creates a massive bottleneck in traffic flow.

    - the speed limit is too low considering the road.
    - ive seen the yellow light designating an active school zone illuminated/flashing during times that it shouldnt have been an active school zone, such as holidays and outside the regular times.
    - crossing guards literally jump in front of moving vehicles with unrealistic expectations on their stopping ability

Relocate the utility pole near this point and add a right-turn only lane to this part of the intersection.

Even during low-congestion times the vehicles turning right slow the flow badly enough that through-vehicles catch the light before theyve made it through. If theres a pedestrian in the crosswalk there will be a two- or three-cycle time of the traffic light to make it through the intersection.

The timing of the traffic light has definitely improved from several years ago when only a handful of vehicles would make it through the intersection before the traffic light cycled.

Dangerous Intersection. Traffic Light is poorly timed.

Dangerous Intersection for people leaving Grand Meadows Blvd. Should be signalized.

Speed limit should be 30mph entire route. Why do many drivers need to go 60mph in this section only to stop at the next red light? Dropping the speed limit could happen now without any additional cost and would cut down on the daily accidents.

Years ago, I was told by the city manager that east-west traffic needed priority because of hurricane evacuations (uh, not all year long!). This seems to still be the case as I frequently wait for lights on Wickham when there is little to no east-west traffic!

Another alternative for flow of traffic from Lansing, Venture, Bush and shopping centers.

Traffic lights poorly timed along all of Wickham Road (and most of Melbourne). Improve timing and less "on demand calls" instead of more lights. Traffic flow would be greatly improved and result in less "rear end" crashes which were significant in study reports.

Dedicated right hand turn lanes at all major intersections to increase traffic flow.

Center turning lane gets congested and difficult to navigate with two entrances/exits into Doccs (listed as budget truck on map) and Bush Drive as cars try to dodge one another to get into the center lane.

right turn only signs often ignored and cars try turning across all lanes and very close to intersection. Shopping center has two other entrances/exits not as close to intersection'; perhaps close this one off?

poor lighting through this section makes navigating turns on and off Wickham difficult at night... unable to see pedestrians/ bike riders.

This business drive too close to intersection. Cars exiting and trying to turn left (to east) crossing multiple lanes. During heavy traffic, left hand turn lane (heading west) unable to navigate through signal as cars cut in front trying to make left hand turn. Suggest right hand turn only as exiting business.

This bus stop is too close to intersection. When turning onto Wickham from Lake Washington road (either heading east or west), unable to navigate fully through intersection or many do an abrupt lane change when bus is stopped there.

I don't know if this falls under this project but for the Space Coast bus stops, is it possible to have an enclosed sitting area (protective against the elements) instead of being in the sun & exposed to elements. Also, an overhead light would be good during darkness for safety. Thank you.

On this corner and Eau Gallie Eau Gallie, remember that all those diagonal crossing ramps off the curb have to go. They are difficult for anyone to navigate on wheels, and of course this one puts the pedestrian in the traffic lane while waiting for the light to change.

Sorry not to see some of the simple, inexpensive improvements for ped/cyclists that your report notes while studies continue. Example: zebra stripes right here at Aurora crossing on east side of Wickham, to show drivers where to stop for those crossing the street. Also, shave down sidewalk where blocks are very high and should be flush with the rest of sidewalk. Dangerous for walkers and bikes and wheelchairs.

The entire length of Wickham needs a 4 foot shoulder to be used as a bike lane. It should not be marked as such though since there is no money to clean and maintain it. Cyclist should have the ability to enter the lane of traffic with cars with out fear of ticketing when the shoulder is full of debris and not being maintained

Crossing from West to East across Wickham a pedestrian actually has to enter the right turn lane to get on to the ramp headed north bound on Wickham. I witnessed a man in a wheelchair try to negotiate this. A car that had pulled forward to make a right turn (N. bound) on to wickham had to back up to let the wheelchair through

The last thing I want to see on Wickham Rd. is more traffic lights. If you must have something for traffic calming, entrance and egress on to Wickham a traffic circle makes more sense

Please take care of the pedestrians with this project and make this corridor walkable with some beautification. It is a hot mess with many design mistakes that need to be fixed. And please address county and city zoning that sidewalks are a transportation issue not a zoning issue. Developers should NOT be building sidewalks...these sidewalks are inconsistent in design, function and placement and can put people in harms way.

Please DO NOT put marked bike lanes on this portion of the road. If the municipalities cannot properly maintain the debris that accumulates in dedicated bike lanes then the cyclist cannot ride in them. As a cyclist not having a contiguous flow of bike lanes facility the length of Wickham...the design pushing me into a conflict area when the lanes randomly starts and end. The car drivers are not watching for this because they are not educated and many of the cyclist are not either. The speeds though a majority of this stretch is 35mph the solutions would be a 14' out lane with sharrows.

No pedestrian crossing area with bus stop near b, stop sign right up on Wickham road and the island with signage blocks visibility of cars exiting the development.
