Use existing subdivision paths to connect walking path from Maple Grove to Mitchel to Five Mile. Would be used by all neighborhoods and students to travel.

A Bike bridge is needed across Amity for students.

Suggested connection route between Cole and Gowen Rd. Bike path easement would provide safe commuting to Gowen Field.

Connecting Cole to Gowen with a bike lane or easement would greatly increase safety in commuting to Gowen Field and the business on the Western side of the airport.

A Walking/bike path for connecting West Junior High to Maple Grove would prevent dangerous foot and bike traffic on Victory and reduce load on bus system

Bike lanes on W Wright St. would greatly increase bicycling safety for commuters.

Orchard has no bike lanes and heavy truck traffic. Fatalities have occurred in this area. The dangers of this section are one of the major hold-ups preventing me from doing a bike commute to work.

It would be nice to have safe biking and walking areas for students to get from West Junior High and Maple Grove to the Victory public library. They can go through neighborhoods, but that's not always feasible. Most of the main roads do not have good biking lanes, sidewalks are skinny, and cars are going fast. The combination makes it tough to have a safe route for children to walk or bike, especially on dark mornings to school.

In the dark early hours of the morning when children are walking and biking to West Junior High, Maple Grove Elementary, and Frank Church High School, it's a zoo. Cars aren't looking at children on bikes or walking. Cars make free rights at lights without looking at intersections. What is needed is a significant public relations and community awareness campaign and watching for children at intersections. This is also true at Victory/5 Mile where children are biking and walking to the library. Cars are going too fast, sidewalks aren't wide enough, and drivers aren't paying attention to walkers and bikers. There aren't safe bike paths on Victory so the sidewalk is safer for cycling.

On Cole Road, there is no sidewalk, shoulder, or bike line over 5 Mile Creek. There is limited shoulder area on Cole Rod from the Creekwood Subdivision to Cole/Victory Intersection. Heading north on Cole, the bike lanes vary and seem very unsafe. I do not feel comfortable riding my bike on Cole Rd, and would not feel conformable letting children ride their bikes. Also, children have to cross Diamond where there is terrible shoulders in the dark to get to West Junior High and catch the school bus to Borah High School. This is very unsafe to have children walking on Cole Road in the dark in the early mornings. (Comments apply to both bike and walking safety.)

This section of W Clark St needs speed calming bumps like the ones on Camas St two blocks north of here. There is a lot of through traffic here, and excessive speed is unfortunately the norm.

There is a crosswalk here next to Pepper Ridge Elementary and the side opposite the school does not have a curb cut. This makes it inaccessible for a person in a power wheelchair to cross.

It would be great to have continuous sidewalk and bike lanes on Victory Rd from Eagle Rd to Five Mile. I find that I travel these blocks often and wish I could ride my bike instead of having to drive in the car all the time. It would be nice to be able to access the library on Victory and Five Mile by foot as well.

I would like to see continuous sidewalks and bike lanes on Cloverdale from Lake Hazel to Overland Rd. There are so many breaks it makes it unsafe to travel by foot

a cross walk is needed from S. Seabreeze in order to cross Lake Hazel into the Harrington Glen and neighbouring subdivisions.

The Cole road extension should include a bike path for commuting to the base, SE boise area businesses, Micron, Simplot offices, Simplot sports complex, ect.

There should be a bike lane connecting maple grove to the YMCA along Amity Rd since many children will be riding along this busy street to the Y.

There should be a bike path for riding from residential areas to the library and commercial areas along lake hazel rd.

The extension from Cole road to Gowen Rd should have a bike lane to allow for bike commuting.

There is no safe continuous bike lanes for children who ride bikes to school from Maple grove north of lake hazel, to Desert sage elementary school. I see kids on bikes and worry they are going to get hit most days.

Once the YMCA Opens, it will be critical for bike lanes to prevent vehicle vs. bike fatalities. Lake hazel provides access from residential to schools and after school activity areas.

Once the YMCA Opens, it will be critical for bike lanes to prevent vehicle vs. bike fatalities since children will be using this facility before and after school, and working parents will rely on this for after school care until they can get off work.

Traffic has really picked up on Lake Hazel and it can be difficult to make a left turn from Hazelwood subdivision to get to Albertsons / Walgreens. A traffic light and pedestrian cross walk would be wonderful. It is also unsafe to try and cross from Hazelwood to Hazelwood Village especially around 5 pm.

Would really like to be able to walk or ride a bike safely from Hazelwood subdivision to Albertsons/ library / Walgreens and now Zamzows.

This stretch of Amity Rd is frequently used by bikers/runners/walkers to connect to the Federal Way path but is very narrow and in close proximity to high speed vehicles (often 40-50mph). Safety hazards are often created by this proximity particularly in low light situations.
