This road is a very bad idea. 3 creeks is a rare natural area and should be left that way. Putting a road through it is unnecessary.

This construction would increase sprawl and promote more population than the already can already sustain. Not to mention it's insane to think of destroying such a pristine nature habitat in an urban environment.

Are you serious?! Why are we having to depend this forest against this ridiculous road again? As it is, our city kids are already suffering from nature deprivation and pollution. Please allow our world and our community to continue benefiting from these ancient and endangered oaks, the health of this nature area, and the peace, beauty and inspiration that it offers to young and old. This road is not going to fix existing traffic congestion in the area, and building more roads it not the solution to traffic anyways. Please remove this road from you plans FOREVER! Thank you.

Not sure how or why this project got back on the table, but it's an absolutely horrible idea. Leave 3-Creeks alone!

Bad idea. Waste of tax payers money for little return. People in the area do not want this, can you get that through your thick heads?

I am not sure what happened to all of the previous comments on this map. It must be nice to work for the county and to have the power to erase all of those earlier comments and keep pushing this stupid idea of a Sunnybrook Extension. The county does not have the money to waste on poorly thought out projects such as this. The biggest slowdown to traffic in this area is the railroad crossing, fix that 1st. then we can talk about the roads.

I am opposed to any Sunnybrook Blvd extension. On my regular visits to Portland, I have watched the progress and success of the Three Creeks restoration project which has been nothing less than remarkable. The community should take pride in it, protect it, and ensure that it continues to flourish.

Don't expand traffic through Three Creeks.

Improving bicycling and pedestrian traffic along River Road is important as a safe thoroughfare. Let's add to the train bridge to LO so a multi-use path (pedestrian, bicycle, etc) can allow for non-car traffic between Multnomah and Clackamas counties without the Sellwood Bridge. This has been done on the Steel Bridge in Portland which was more complex due to that bridge's specific design.

NO NO NO - we do not need to keep limiting these natural areas. Leave Three Creeks alone.

I strongly oppose the proposal of this extension. It is clear that there enough public opposition to the proposal to permanently remove it from any plans.

    Yes please!

This is a much needed addition to linnwood, as long as the county will ticket cars that park in the bike lanes once they are built. Cars are frequently parked in the bike lanes on Linnwood south of King rd.

    Please make these improvements!!

Please add sharrows and ped facilities to this section of Monroe, and improve the intersection at Monroe and Linnwood for bikes/peds. If the county leads, perhaps Milwaukie will follow by working on the western portion of Monroe!

This would be a great project to connect cycling across the river!

  17. April 12 2013

    TSP ID: U001

Don't build this road. This would be a horrible waste of money and would destroy historic habitat that can not be replaced.

  18. April 12 2013

    TSP ID: 2102

This project is not needed and not supported by the community surrounding it. Three creeks needs to continue to be protected.

  19. April 12 2013

    TSP ID: 2102

There are enough connectors in this area. Don't destroy natural areas just because you have money burning a hole in your pocket.

  20. April 11 2013

    TSP ID: U654

Please do not build a road in this beautiful natural area. This is one of the few natural areas still remaining and the community uses this area to enjoy the peaceful birds and wildlife habitat that has taken up residence here. It would be barbaric to destroy this ecosystem. Many wildlife and plants would die. We do not need another road, and it is a waste of time and money! PLEASE STOP THIS PROJECT!!

  21. April 10 2013

    TSP ID: U001

How can this horror show of a project still be here? Is there no way to stop this zombie project? When will the destruction of some of the last ancient oaks in the Willamette Valley stop being such a tempting target to road engineers? Is there a need for more retirements?

  22. April 10 2013

    TSP ID: U001

Protect 3 Creeks Natural area, listen to your citizens, this project will destroy some of the last remaining old growth Oregon White Oak stands. These trees are over 300 years old, they are a treasure, not something to be carelessly destroyed.

I am a nearby resident and I am strongly opposed to any extension of Sunnybrook Blvd. The notion of expanding roads through the 3 Creeks Natural Area is inane. The oaks in this area are hundreds of years old and deserve to be preserved. Just don't do it.

  24. April 10 2013

    TSP ID: U001

I am strongly opposed to the roadway through Three Creeks Natural Area. Why on earth would we want a road running through a natural area that contains 400 year old oak trees? This is insane.

  25. April 10 2013

    TSP ID: U407

This road needs better areas for pedestrians to cross safely. Better traffic controls, better bike ways. How about more trees and less telephone poles too?
