Martha's Vineyard Comprehensive Safety Action Plan

Martha's Vineyard is preparing a Safe Streets and Roads for All Safety Action Plan. The plan will identify engineering and non-engineering recommendations to improve traffic safety, and will position Martha's Vineyard for competitive federal grants for safety project implementation. NOTE THAT THE TOOL IS DESIGNED FOR USE ON A TABLET OR PERSONAL COMPUTER AND IS MORE DIFFICULT TO NAVIGATE ON A PHONE.

Our Request

We would like to hear from your about your experiences and safety concerns. This page has been set up to record SPECIFIC LOCATIONS where you have safety concerns for people walking, biking, driving and taking transit around Martha's Vineyard. If you see comments you agree with, you can LIKE the comment. We would also greatly appreciate if you could take a broader SURVEY to help us understand your safety priorities and concerns.

For reference, the RED LINES on the map identify the Martha's Vineyard High Injury Network. These roadways have the highest concentration of crashes and crashes resulting in injuries. Between 2019 and 2023, three quarters of reported fatal and serious injuries in Martha's Vineyard occurred on these roads.
