Chrun Creek has no shoulders at all, I use this for my commute and it is quite dangerous
Could this street beside Lowes somehow be connected to Canby so people could travel north south without going on Churn Creek or Hilltop?
Road to narrow for bikes
I like this part of Parkview, with nice crosswalks and bike lanes
This whole freeway interchange is difficult to walk and bike. Would like it better for walking and biking to and from the Sundial Bridge, trail to Dana, Garden Tract and Sequoia School.
The new Cypress bridge is so super great compared to the old one...
It's trick tro cross under the tracks here because narrow and blind corner. Could a trail be added under the tracks to connect to the River Trail? Or make the street narrower so there is space for people walking/biking (maybe a one way street with space for path) or lights that alert drivers that people are walking/biking?
These intersections near the high schools should be much more visible and, if possible, narrower with bulb outs or pedestrian islands. On Eureka at Magnolia and also at Walnut/Pionerr.
This intersection is crazy for all users. Needs clear pedestrian space, especially along California St where it is all merged with a parking lot. I like to use California when traveling south from downtown but this intersection in challenging.
People are using this already, just formalize it and more eyes on it will make it safer.
ACID should restart here to Anderson, the neighborhood above this does not want it and it is hard to blame them when it goes through their front yards, do a bypass from Parkview via freebridge with BMUFL and sharrows.
always trucks parked here forcing cyclist into the 55+mph traffic lane, no parking please
A lot of cars parked on the shoulder and heavy bike use down here, No parking please
This is an extremely dangerous crossing for bikers. The traffic coming from the HW 5 often wants to stop to let me cross, but the traffic behind the stopped car does not know what is going on and often are near misses. I often insist in waiting for the traffic to go by, but that does not always work.
It would be nice to have the street sweeper keep this street free of debris and rocks that often fall on the bike lane from the landscaping projects along the street.
It's difficult and unsafe to walk along Bechelli because the parking lots and street just flow together with no clear sidewalks or spaces for pedestrians. Cars are unpredictable because they merge in and out of parking areas at every which angle because of the lack of curbs and entrances.
It would be helpful to have bicycle lanes, especially from Blue Gravel trail and Buenaventura toward downtown (at least really great bike lanes to Pleasant where people can ride on residential streets into downtown)
Build a paved multiuse trail from this big neighborhood into Cottonwood....ideally along the Sac River
Deschutes Rd is probably one of the more difficult roads to ride on. There is no bike lane and barely enough room for cars. Even when walking, cars have trouble going around.
Freeway off ramp makes it difficult for cyclist to continue on 299 West. Must compete with cars going +65mph and actually ride on the Highway (not shoulder for a brief distance).
Lack of signs to share the road for cyclist. Cars pass other cars on the shoulder going 55mph where cyclist would be found. Have had some close calls in the early morning.
The part of Railraod has lots of people walking and bicycling but no space for them. It's dark and narrow and curvy. Needs bike lanes, sidewalks, etc. Also, if there was a safe bike lane I would like to ride this to downtown and work but don't like the way it is now.
I'd like a trail from Shasta College to Simpson and Shasta View...or all the way to the Churn Creek Trails and Bethel would be even better.
This intersection is the scariest part of my ride to Shasta College. it's really big. The cars come around the corner onto campus really fast and there is no space for bicycles - plus they are changing lanes so not looking for bikes. Leaving campus it is hard to turn left because intersection is so big and double lanes of cars turning (except the right lane can also go straight or turn so I don't always know what they plan to do). Then by freeway onramp cars are crossing the bike lane quickly and tons of pavement so doesn't feel safe.
This intersection is difficult to walk and bike. It is hard to get to the ped signal and there is only a crosswalk on the south side of the intersection. My bike doesn't always get detected. It's way too wide and no place to safely wait for the signal - I always feel like a sitting duck. Plus needs pedestrians space and crossways on Eastside, Westside, and Breslauer. I have seen people with wheelchairs have to go around the curb on Westside, onto 273, to reach the pedestrian button to cross 273.
