This is a 4 lane divided highway bridge with very low car volume. Walking is narrow on a very high curb. Bike lanes are very narrow. Can you make it 3 lanes and give more width to biking and walking? There is a tremendous volume of bikers and walkers now. Thanks for your help!

I have used Hannah to get from Seminole Heights area to Temple Terrace, Busch Gardens, USF area. Cars go a bit fast for comfort, but it's a continuous east/west connection that seems easier to manage than some of the other continuous east/west connections.

The flashing pedestrian crossing beacon to cross Bayshore near Swann is helpful for getting from Davis Island into the Hyde Park area. Before, I was carrying my bike up the stairs at the pedestrian elevated crossing near the hospital or trying to cross at-grade in between car gaps (not ideal). On a bike, you can cover enough distance quickly that it doesn't seem to add too much time to my route (although on foot it would).

Getting over bridges is challenging - feels more comfortable to use sidewalks than biking in the street for those segments, but then you're competing with pedestrians.

Living downtown, going through Julian B. Lane to W. Cypress, then south to Willow is my low-stress preferred bike route to get to Hyde Park Village and back. Continuing south on Willow to Bayshore would be a nice low traffic option too.

I live in Downtown Tampa and use the Cypress Street corridor multiple times per week to access businesses from downtown to mid-town and for weekend pleasure riding returning via Spruce and Willow. This will be an even more attractive loop once the West Tampa riverfront development/Riverwalk extension is completed.

This is my commute to daycare and back. There is a great shoulder bike path through the Carrollwood neighborhoods. Fletcher and Casey Rd/Dawnview Dr (especially) lack a shoulder for biking. When creating awareness by biking, there have been several close collisions with vehicle drivers due to distracted driving or intense road rage.

marking system is not very user-friendly. I take Gray St as main route to Cypress Pointe Park and then get on the path to Courtney Campbell Causeway.
I recommend that you study routes on Strava, especially Heat Labs, to get the most commonly used routes. It is not easy to mark them on this map without an "undo" function for misplaced clicks.

A low stress bike route is needed going north in Seminole heights through the retail corridors on Nebraska and Florida

19th st and 15 ave to 601 N Morgan Street. This is not my favorite bike route. Very little shade and I have to take this route to avoid cars. But this is the safest option for me to get to work. There really needs to be a public education campaign to educate drivers about bike and pedestrian laws. I've been riding bikes on the road for 52 years in Tampa and around the country and outside the country. Tampa is the worst place to ride or walk in the country.

Work commute - great low stress roads. Need crosswalks/traffic control for bike/peds at Macdill@Horatio (senior communities and hospital nearby with services across the street), Horatio@Armenia.

  12. October 08 2021

Bike route for work commute - Matanzas, Horatio, Westland, Platt, River Walk, Whiting, Fort Brook garage. Need intersection safety enhancements at:
    - Macdill@Horatio (senior communities nearby cross frequently, no crosswalk or control)
    - Horatio@Armenia (no crosswalk)
    - Platt Bridge-TCC-River Walk connection (not comfortable for cycles or pedestrians)

  13. September 20 2021

Ola Ave is a great low stress street

  14. September 20 2021

N River Blvd great low stress street for biking and connects under HIllsborough Ave to the other side of Seminole Heights

  15. September 20 2021

26th Ave is a great low stress street for biking

  16. September 14 2021

This is such a fun route for bikers, especially those who don't want to compete for space with cars.

  17. September 14 2021

I ride my bike in this area because these roads are calm and there isn't much traffic. I avoid Westshore Blvd, most part of El Prado Blvd, Euclid Avenue, and Dale Mabry even though those would be great ways to access different parts of the City.

Great biking near the park, but south of MLK is scary

  19. September 09 2021

12th Street is a great alternative to Nebraska Avenue.
