Trash cans are routinely left in the bike lane for days at a time, at the crest of the blind hill. Cyclists are forced into traffic at precisely the point that motorists can't see them. Driveways are steep in this area, so residents may have no option but to set trash cans in the bike lane.

Parking on this road blocks the bike lane

Under road culvert passage of the North Branch of Dunawi Creek. Needs improvement for adequate drainage and for aquatic and terrestrial fauna passage on this riparian corridor.

Bike and pedestrian facilities should be on both sides of this roadway. Can you imagine Harrison or 29th with sidewalks or bike lanes only on one side? Are we an urban area and City or a rural farming community?

This entire stretch of roadway needs only two lanes. Given that the crest is not likely to ever be cut down, the safe speed is only 25. There is no justification for more than 2 lanes and no justification for speeds anywhere over 35.

roundabout essential on this long stretch which invites speeding and endangers pedestrians and bikes. Best placed at Gerold if it goes through to Hwy 20/34.

Speed and auto density on Western is very muchy a problem and will get worse. Roundabout very much needed to slow traffic and permit integration of vehicles from two collector / arterials. Alternative - signalize

No Roundabout needed here. It will slow down the continuous flow of traffic on Western Blvd

Blind curve with quick stop at end will result in incidents for those unfamiliar with the intersection, esp. in fog.. Expect many unfamiliar residents each year with turnover in apts in developments to be built. Consider rerouting intersection to a circle.

Info sign to warn of vehicles exiting church here and that church entrance is 250' on right. Stop sign needed at end of church exit drive.

Change to lockable mailbox clusters instead of individual boxes. Include safe turnouts for mail trucks so that they don't block roadway when delivering.

Ped-Bike X needed across West Hills Rd for residents walking to church, Safe Camp users walking to Safeway. Ped-Bike Xs across West Hills Rd should also be planned for future residents in developments down to 53rd St.

Plan to restore bus stop that used to be here, for future residents and Safe Camp users. Also plan for bus stops further west on West Hills Rd for future residents in dwellings that will eventually develop from the church to 53rd St.

City should be aware that the County has easements with the church that allowed the roadway to be widened with ped-bike lane. Church east of main entrance drive is City; small piece west of it including Safe Camp is currently County.

Do something about the road flooding under the bridge. Dunawi Creek has no where to go.
This closes 53rd too often.Liked 5 times -
Wide straight road invites speeding. Add traffic calming devices such as bulbouts.

Build a roundabout at intersection of Gerold and West Hills Road. Make sure that right of way is purchased. Rewrite the annexation agreement and switch funds from developing a roundabout at Sagebrush & 35th to Gerold & West Hills Road. Sagebrush most likely will not be extended from the Mary's Development to 35th for 20+ years.

Long open stretch of road giving visual queues for drivers to go fast. This occurs whether cars are going east or west.

Protected bike path is needed on Western, from 35th, to Downtown.

Install bubble mirrors so people walking and on bikes (and even cars) can see over the knoll before entering the blind zone at the near crest. These are standard in such situations throughout the world. Cost very little, and improve visibility and safety for all users.

Pedestrian Crossing here-to a protected East side (53rd), so walkers/bikers etc don't have to wait for 2 light cycles, and double "right on red" car turners. just to reach the campus way path.

So many cars street parked, that it is high stress to bike through this complex to the path at Washington Way.

Better walking and biking solutions are needed to increase safe access to shopping. Currently there are no real safe walking options for the neighborhood to easily access these amenities.
