This intersection is very difficult for us. In order to see traffic on Kings Valley from Polk Station we have to position our vehicles in such a way that it interferes with traffic coming from the opposite direction. We're not as young as we used to be so turning our necks and backs to safely see traffic is a problem. Is it possible to someday soon make this a "normal" intersection?

The gravel that was put in the corners spills out across the sidewalk and becomes ankle-twisting trip hazards.
-
Would be helpful to have the crosswalk trip simultaneously for both sides of the street (when the crosswalk on the N side of the street is hit, the S side of the street will cycle, too).
-
This bridge is a critical piece of infrastructure connecting the western half of Dallas to downtown. We use it multiple times weekly, sometimes daily. It is also used for commuting to the downtown businesses. Please do whatever is necessary to maintain it so we don't lose this critical piece of connectivity.

The sidewalk along here is in poor condition, sloped, and missing sidewalk cuts, making it useless when pushing a stroller. Drivers will hit this corner at speed (faster than the speed limit - Walnut is driven fast) and make the right-hand turn without checking for pedestrians. This should be an all-way stop.
-
The bridge railings feel really low and have gaps near either end that are dangerous for small pedestrians.
-
The sidewalk here is really damaged and difficult to navigate by foot/scooter. Recommend repairing sidewalk and adding a sidewalk access from the parking lot to the paved trail.
-
The lack of sidewalk cuts both at this intersection (and more broadly throughout this section of the city) make it difficult to navigate with a stroller.
-
The rake of the road is difficult to navigate quickly as a pedestrian pushing a stroller. The angle at which you hit the sidewalk on the north side of the intersection is really challenging to navigate with a stroller.
-
The removal of shade-producing street trees from the downtown has made walking downtown incredibly uncomfortable in the summer.

These alleys need to be closed to vehicles. I've seen drivers merely honk their horns and blow over the sidewalk without waiting to see if pedestrians are there or not. Pushing a stroller I either have to push my baby out into the alley before I can see if cars or coming, or park my stroller and peer around the corner.

The on-street parking along Main means that pedestrians don't show up until they are out in traffic. Difficult when pushing a stroller - my baby is out in the lane of traffic before I can see around the parked vehicles to know if any cars are coming.

When crossing in the marked crosswalk in front of the school, the first North-bound car stopped (and not abruptly) and the vehicle behind them didn't and hit them. I was mid-cross at this point and pushing my kids in a stroller. If the second driver had tried to avoid by jetting around the stopped vehicle, we could have been hit. This crossing is too wide, drivers are moving fast coming off of the slip lane Ellendale, and pedestrians are hidden by the parked cars until they are out in the lane.

There is broken concrete on the sidewalks and curbs along Oakdale St between Fairview and Levens.
I have seen new concrete with handicap ramps at some Corners in town ( beautiful) but I wonder: when might you do all of them? -
There needs to be a light here at this intersection. With cars traveling 45 miles an hour on Ellendale it’s very hard to judge their speed, especially when you’re trying to turn left onto Ellendale.

The City has allowed a lot of new homes/apartments to go in, but seemingly did not plan for the increased traffic. Traffic bottlenecks all through town as there are not many alternative options. Traffic often diverts through residential areas and not at the posted speed as a result.
Will be great to have a comprehensive and collaborative transportation plan developed by the City, County, and ODOT.
-
Pavement on the ODOT roads going through Dallas and South of town are deteriorating significantly. I see large trucks swerve to miss pot holes and nearly hit other cars.
-
The curb cuts on both sides of the street when crossing Levens Street on the south side of Court Street fill with water and mud when it's rainy making them difficult to walk through/around.
-
This intersection has difficult visibility and makes it hard to navigate when traveling on SW Court St.
-
When northbound along this stretch of Kings Valley Highway there is a significant hill to climb and the speed limit is raised, but cyclists have to take the lane because there is no bike lane provided. This causes drivers to overtake cyclists at high speed using the center turn lane. The speed limit along this stretch needs to be lowered and, at the very least, sharrows painted to indicate that the travel lane is a shared space.

This stretch of Branvold has a sidewalk on the south side and a row of trees on the north side. In the summer the sidewalk is roasting hot in the sun, but there is no path under the trees to the north. A path (even soft surface) should be installed under the trees to the north, and trees need to be planted along the south side to provide a continuous canopy. This would also help with the ongoing creek bank erosion.

The intersection at Leven's & SW Academy had a crosswalk and signage installed, but pedestrians getting across Leven's is still an issue. Vehicles seldom stop for pedestrians at this intersection and tend to speed coming up the hill from the bridge. It can also be difficult to see pedestians at this crosswalk (and on the south side of Academy) when vehicles are parked on Leven's closer to the crossing areas.
-
The intersection at Washington & Jefferson - too many cars stop before turning left (north) onto Jefferson, this creates long lines of traffic being backed up.

Lack of a turn signal at the intersection of Main Street turning on walnut. when traffic is busy and there are multiple cars in the turn lane, you can be stuck there for 5-10min easily. ive worked at starlite lanes there for almost 15 years. there is usually 1-2 accidents per month minimum that i have seen while working. and have witnessed countless accidents over the years.. this is the only traffic signal in town without a turn signal. it is a safety risk both to vehicles and pedestrians.
