  1. April 28 2016

There is major traffic cutting through the neighborhood near the park. The city recently improved the park and it has become very popular with neighborhood families. Cars run the three way stop at 4th avenue all day long. Safer pedestrian crossings should be considered throughout the neighborhood.

  2. April 14 2016

Especially at lunch time, cars waiting at the Pollo Tropical drive-thru back onto SE 18th st and onto US1. Furthermore, they stop in the middle of the road so vehicles looking to drive West bound down the street are blocked from moving. This is causing a dangerous intersection in what isn't an intersection.

  3. April 14 2016

Where is the traffic light we were promised three years ago at this intersection? Tourists re just walking blindly across the road.

  4. February 05 2016

Please please remove bike lanes from the sides of roads entering and leaving bridge. Bikes and pedestrians should walk across bridge . There is no way for a car to turn into the plaza without coming into contact with bikes There are three lanes merging into two without a merge lane heading west over bridge- need to fix. A ramp above or below the bridge is needed to alleviate all the traffic.

  5. February 01 2016

pedestrian/bike elevated walkways with ramps needed at Eisenhower, Cordoba and Federal highway. the retail/hotel/restaurant sites on both sides of 17th street produce high volumes of crossings. the multi lanes, and difficult/dangerous existing crossings at street level are inadequate

Please advise who to contact at Kittelson. I use SE 17th Street every day and have a background in Transportation Planning.

  7. January 19 2016

Codorva Road from SE 15th Street to SE 17th Street needs, for pedestrian safety, to establish a safety island in the center of the street, with left-turn lanes. There are no pedestrian cross-walks in the four-lane wide street. Jaywalks are always experienced. Pedestrian safety is URGENTLY needed.

  8. January 07 2016

Do not remove any lanes on Cordova Rd between 17 St & 15 St. There will be grid lock whenever anyone wants to turn left off of Cordova. Put in a cross walk at SE 16 St & Cordova & there already is one at 17 St. In the beginning have a policeman there ticketing everyone who jay walks across Cordova Rd. The city will earn revenue & maybe people will eventually learn.

  9. January 06 2016

Has anyone ever asked the cruise ships to stagger boarding and sailing times to deter the bulk of the passengers arriving between 11am-2pm and gridlocking the roads. It is unpleasant for their passengers and well as the community.

  10. January 05 2016

I believe that an elevated secure direct roadway should be constructed from 17th and Eisenhower to 595. That will free up massive 17th Street congestion. No exits to the Port on the elevated roadway.

  11. January 05 2016

I have no idea how to read your diagram.
However, a few years back, the powers that be said that they would limit further development that would add to the congested travel now existing on 17th Street between Federal Highaway and on down the beach.. Especially at
Eisenhour and 17th Street. Since then... a hotel planned IN THE PORT (Presenting security problems in addition to traffic problems) ; A hotel or condo at the corner of Eisenhour and 17teh!
AND NOW TWO TALL STRUCTURES IN BAHIA MAR!! HOW COULD THEY? Not only the Traffic problem on A1A ...and 17th
Street .... but spoiling the ambiance of Bahia Mar. Who wants to look at more tall buildings? Plus, of course, the traffic problems they will inflict!!
    Unbelievable!!!

  12. January 04 2016

Northbound Cordova rd at SE 15 st (4 way stop), the right lane should be utilized as the continum north on Cordova to rio vista. The current center northbound lane should be for left turn only on to westbound se 15 st.

  13. January 01 2016

The light for east and west traffic at 17th and Andrews is wayyyyyy to long. Also, need left turn signals for east And west traffic

  14. December 28 2015

There needs to be a people mover between the airport, seaport and the beach. At a minimum it should go between the airport and seaport. We need to get cars off the road!

  15. December 25 2015

What about a fly-over at the intersection of SE 24th and US-1 going north and south? That would help alleviate traffic from backing up all the way onto 17th Street.

  16. December 24 2015

Explore the possibilities of synchronizing all the lights east and west bound on 17th Street to augment the traffic flow. Traffic from the east side of the bridge to US 1 continues to take longer. It is reaching 15 minutes during rush hour times and when vehicle traffic from the ships clog up the streets

  17. December 15 2015

While proactive measures such as bike lanes and road narrowing for "pedestrian friendliness" are important, it is also important to consider their appropriateness on 17th Street. The question that should be addressed is what do the neighboring communities want? What serves their needs? A Sun-Sentinel article recently interviewed community and neighborhood advocates who did NOT want changes made - they felt the changes would be a waste of money and both impractical and inappropriate (the comments of the residents were "poo-poo'ed" by a city official in the same article). Since SE 17 Street is such a major connector between the beach, the port, and the city, focus should be on speeding traffic up - keeping it moving - rather than slowing it with facilities that will be minimally used.

  18. December 14 2015

Well placed signs on the bridge to remind motorists to move up in line when the bridge is up will allow more motorists to clear the intersections on either side of the bridge.

  19. December 02 2015

“TURNING VEHICLES - YIELD TO PEDESTRIANS” Post highly visible lighted signs on ALL four corners of Cordova Road and SE 17th Street to alert drivers to YIELD to pedestrians. This is a very high pedestrian intersection with heavy tourist foot traffic and vehicles never even stop at the red light when turning right. This is an easy safety fix that will someday save a life.

  20. November 30 2015

Have taken photos of parked vehicles in front to of Art Institute (trucks, refers, vans, FEDEX, etc.) are obstructing one lane which interferes with two-way traffic and response vehicles; need to review traffic patterns and stoplight timing at intersection of 17th, Eisenhower, and Grande Drive: on-going construction project at same intersection magnifies problem; Eisenhower Blvd north of 17th St. is unlit after 6:00 pm; lack of sidewalk for pedestrian traffic at same location.

  21. November 26 2015

During rush hour traffic, it is near impossible to turn West bound on 17th St. from North on US1 due to the vehicles heading Southbound onto US1 from West bound on 17th Street blocking the intersection when the light turns. Enforcement of traffic laws at this intersection, in all directions, especially during rush hours, would have a strong impact.

  22. November 26 2015

Crossing the street at 17th and US1 is taking your life in your hands. Especially the vehicles heading North on US1 to East on 17th Street. pay no attention to the Green Pedestrian signal.

  23. November 23 2015

New development planned for this site, over 300 units. Where are the cars going?

  24. November 23 2015

#60 Units of housing are being added here with no way to get out of the project except to go down SE 16 Street or onto SE17th Street. Further congestion

  25. November 23 2015

Stop cars from making a u turn and using Miami Road as a by pass for Federal Highway
