If there are no plans to reopen the public pool, build a resident parking garage here. If street parking is removed for safety reasons (see Brooks Street cyclist safety note), other parking options should be introduced and maintained.

sidewalks all along Kenrick are in poor shape - crumbling in some areas, incomplete or missing in others

enforce parking rules on Washington (at Brackett). Cars park illegally on both corners blocking view for those trying to turn onto Washington from Brackett. turning cars have to pull way out to see oncoming traffic - which is fast moving on Washington.

This collection of rotaries/medians needs a rethink - merging is difficult and dangerous from every entry point, walking or biking around the area even more so

Breck Ave between South Crescent Circuit and North Crescent Circuit is too narrow for parking on both sides plus 2 way traffic. with road curve and pitch, visibility is not great - most people speed up/down the street to avoid playing chicken with oncoming traffic - suggest removing parking on East side of street

There should be some pedestrian crosswalks along Western Ave between Leo Birmingham Prkw and Antwerp St.

This is a comment re the North Beacon and Market Street intersection (I could not get a pin to work at that location). The pedestrian walk light is way to brief. To cross diagonally you have to run to make it before the count down hits 0. It only starts at 9 and that’s not long after you step from the curb. Also pedestrians often have to wait for drivers completing left turns.

Guest and Market St is a dangerous intersection for pedestrians. It’s a T and so cars are always turning. Put in a dedicated pedestrian walk light. And add one more crosswalk. There are only two.

Kiki’s Kiki-Mart usurped the public right of way for its parking lot. There are no sidewalks on either side of the parking lot; marked parking spaces run almost into the street on either side. Pedestrians are forced to weave their way amidst parked cars. Put in some sidewalks!

The intersectiion at Lincoln st and Leo Birmingham Pkw should have four pedestrian crosswalks. It only has two.

There are spots along the sidewalk on both sides of Washington street that are chopped up and should be repaved for the safety of pedestrians. Overgrowth of plants and trees is also entering the walkways and should be cleaned up

I would eliminate the right turn from the carriage road to Commonwealth Avenue here to eliminate the conflict with right-turning traffic from the main lanes. An idea to do this would be to block off the turn, create an opening for a right turn just prior to the existing right turn and then reverse the direction and parking angle of this section of the carriage road. Cars which park along the side would be able to turn out at Fuller Street and continue along Comm Ave eastbound.

Double parking is a particular problem along this stretch of Brighton Ave and never seems to be enforced by police. A combination of better enforcement and more designated loading zones would help.

Eliminate a few parking spaces right at the intersection of Linden and Farrington to allow northbound Linden traffic to keep to the right and leave space for Farrington right-turning traffic to make the turn.

Biking or walking through this intersection is extremely dangerous with fast-moving cars. Several movements are harrowing, particularly North Beacon St/Birmingham Parkway to the bridge to Watertown.

A neckdown across the oneway portion of Linden Street south of this intersection would make it easier for pedestrians to cross and also easier for southbound Linden Street cars to take a left turn onto Brighton Avenue by offsetting the vehicle path a bit

There should be a crosswalk here to allow getting to and from the shopping center and bus stop from the south side of Brighton Ave. There are many people who cross here anyway so there is a significant desire line.

Eliminate the signed, rarely observed one-way restriction under the Everett St bridge to allow easier egress from the shopping center.

This intersection is often blocked by traffic that cannot make it through the intersection before the light changes. This seems to occur most frequently during the morning rush hour with north-east-bound traffic coming from the two lane Cambridge Street south of the intersection to the one lane Cambridge Street north of the intersection. Some combination of regular enforcement of drivers blocking the intersection and treatments that constrain the traffic before it enters the intersection would be appropriate. Signal timing at Harvard Ave and Cambridge Street probably contributes to this issue also as the traffic backs up from there.
