So from here you just ride through the parking lot dodging cars and over the grass to the greenbelt?
-
Not sure if speed bumps on Fort are allowed but having one on each side prior to the crossing would make drivers slow down and notice pedestrians and bikes
-
Put Boise on the map with a state-of-the-art/design enhanced and protected intersection! Bridge the barriers between ACHD, ITD, and the City of Boise to provide a comfortable and high-class facility on this important corridor!
-
Please provide an enhanced, protected intersection here. ITD must prioritize PEOPLE over CARS and meet the City of Boise in making our community LIVABLE and SAFE for all!
-
I agree with other comments about this signal. On-demand would be best.
-
I really like the large bulbouts at some of the intersections on Leadville. They shorten the intersection, improve visibility, reduce driver speeds, and make it very clear that bicycles should be expected in the lane. Something similar through this residential section of 11th (where separation from traffic isn't needed) would be great.

This area is hazardous at the beginning and end of the school day. Please consider how to make this area safer for students who bike to school.
-
As currently configured, I will not allow my 6 year old to bike along this block.
-
This intersection is unsafe and unpleasant for bicyclists and pedestrians. It would be nice to have an exclusive bike and pedestrian crossing period in the signal cycle.
-
Very important safety improvements needed here, cars (Ubers too) zip around these corners here to access bars, with little regard to slowing down.
-
Very important safety improvements needed here!

Agree with the comments about the stop signs/4-way stops.

As a bike commuter, I avoid this area completely in the mornings and afternoons for reasons stated by others. I need more information on this plan, but it seems to end here at Washington Street. That is like leading folks to the lion’s den. There is no sense in adding more congestion to the area at Boise High and YMCA if a safe path to get riders and walkers THROUGH this crowded corridor is not included in the plan. Maybe I am misunderstanding the overall plan here?
-
I dread crossing Front St. The cars turning right on red create a major hazard for bikers. No matter where I choose to sit and wait for the light to turn, a driver manages to cut me off in some way.
-
I agree, the parked cars make the sight lines for crossing very tricky.
-
Project should show / include connection to Greenbelt.
-
I hope the Y and Boise High are both included in all the discussion concerning solving the issues in this area.
-
This entire area is a disaster. Firstly, parents dropping off at Boise High need to learn to drive slowly and LOOK WHERE THEY ARE GOING. I have always wondered why they can't drop off on Franklin.
-
Signal should change more frequently so walkers and bikers and crossing motorists don’t have to wait so long.
-
Signal length too long. Should change more frequently, so walkers and bikers (and crossing drivers) don’t wait so long.
-
Connect the bike route from 11th street to Main street into Garden City.
-
Because there are parked cars, but so few cars using 11th as a main corridor, consider making all of 11th Street a Shareall so that bikes can take up the entire lane.
As of 6/13/2020 I agree with all the other comments posted along 11th Street and the Pioneer Pathway for biking. Please connect 11th right into the Greenbelt to serve east bound bikers leaving downtown.
-
Make sure this makes a quick and direct connection to the greenbelt.
-
The connection through the Boise High campus will be critical to the success of this bikeway. Currently, it's very hard to navigate, and is complicated as a bike route when students are present.
-
This is a very tricky spot, the curb cut is in an awkward location, banners on the fence make it impossible to see eastbound pedestrians. I assume the sheds blocking the way and the view will be removed?
