While you are looking at Okeechobee, you HAVE TO LOOK at where PBLakes y into Okeechobee. This is a dangerous, dangerous intersection. This intersection is also the end of the congestion between Haverhill and there or the beginning of the congestion if you are going West. Figure out how to make it one way going east and one way going west. The same problem exists at Military & Okeechobee going north and south -- dangerous, dangerous -- you probably know from the number of accidents -- while you are at it, where are the police unless there is an accident -- if you had more officers out there giving tickets for running lights, improper lane usage, etc. on a consistent basis, you could keep the traffic moving

I don't like the minimum green time for the North/South movement. I think you may be able to reduce it by 5 to 7 seconds and give it back to the East/West movements. Right now, the signal is set up for SB to EB dedicated lefts but they finish up really quickly. We need to shorten that time and then shorten the full NB/SB time.

There is already not enough time to cross the intersection as it is. Shortening it makes it even more dangerous!

I believe That You should Build Intermodal Transit Station at The Cross County Mall.
I see everyday Many people Crossing Milatary Tr and Okeechobee to get There Bus next to Boston Market or across the street at the old school. it would be much safer and there is plenty of room in the Plaza to build a bus station and Bus loop.Liked 0 times

I feel my soul ascending to heaven just thinking about walking along Okeechobee at I-95. I think it's okay for cars to wait another minute or two if it means saving a life.

It would be necessary to build an elevated monorail that would go west to east from Wellington to downtown west palm and east to west from downtown west palm to Wellington. This would help the passenger 's that are coming from the western part of the county like Belle Glade, South Bay,Pahokee and Canel Point to get to and from downtown much much faster then dealing with the heavy traffic between Wellington and west palm.

One of the most dangerous intersections in Palm Beach County. Reduce the number of lanes. Slow down car traffic. Make it easier for pedestrians to cross.

Do not put a roundabout here. If you think it is bad now it would be worse if one were installed. Probably not feasible but a overpass would be better (think Southern Blvd)

Okeechobee has too many lanes with cars moving too fast. Reduce the number of lanes and lane width. Add dedicated transit lanes, not shared with mixed traffic.

Fix the timing of the lights so traffic can flow more smoothly! This would apply to every major street as well

Like Liked 0 timesConstantly see cars driven off these car lots without tags. Lots of aggressive driving going on in this area. Why do I see cops parked out past Lowes in empty fields but hardly any on the road here? Why are dealerships constantly allowing their Porters to drive with no tags on Okeechobee?

UPZONE all of Okeechobee Blvd east of Military Trail. Should have at least 4 or 5 story buildings with shops on the first floor and apartments on top. We have a housing affordability crisis and we desperately need more housing. Turn this into a dense mixed used walkable corridor.

Include Okeechobee downtown and on Palm Beach, and *this* bus should go to the beach!!!
Also, the bus route that follows the "Main Street ("Broad Street?") of Palm Beach County" should have a low or important number or letter for the route. Like, 5, or A, or something.Liked 1 time
