The dog leg looks ridiculous. Consider 2x 9.5' travel lanes, or a bike lane in one direction and a very narrow travel lane in the other direction.
-
This roundabout doesn't follow modern roundabout best practices because of the straight approach, and should be fixed.
-
Whitman doesn't connect to Orchard except with a staircase. Also, the draft plans for a safer Orchard Ave does not include any bike safety features.
-
You're thinking about diverting bikes a half mile out of their way to cross at an uncontrolled 7 lane crossing, or you're going to spend a bunch of money on a traffic signal or HAWK?

I frequently ride on Mission BLVD from Fremont to Carlos Bee. The bike lane ends abruptly at Industrial/Alquire. It would be great if there was either a continuation of the bike lane on Mission (say, to Tennyson), or a connector to another nearby bike lane (Dixon?) (I realize this is about a block beyond the study area)
-
This intersection is particularly dangerous to cross due to cars frequently speed and run red lights.
-
Please put bike lanes on Hesperian, getting to Chabot is miserable
-
The Hayward Loop is designed for cars at the detriment of safely walking and biking. Bike access is sorely needed through downtown Hayward.

Biking to get haircuts feels very uncomfortable on Mission Blvd due to aggressive, reckless, and/or speeding drivers. I usually ride on the sidewalk, but have to be very cautious of blind spots for drivers who often stop with their car blocking the path of the sidewalk. Sidewalk riding and the discomfort there limits me from going further south to other businesses along Mission Blvd in Hayward.

This line connects 2 cul de sac neighborhoods whose connection would ease a station to station path.

If it weren’t for this dogleg, huntwood would be a good part of the BART station connector path, maybe.
-
This cul de sac neighborhood cries out for thru access via Sorensdale Park and Tennyson HS.
-
The usually-closed subterranean passge btwn the barrio of the former Bowman school and the Chavez MS neighborhood is a disgrace. It indicates the need for its existence by, well, existing, but also its unsatisfactory nature by the fact that it is usually closed.

Access for bikes to BART rt here from Tennyson would be great!!
-
I ride Amtrak to work, so I’m personally invested, which not many are, but let’s keep Amtrak on our minds, too. Station has nice painted bike path access to BART, but poor bile access from A St. Pverpass (fence, stairs, steep slope. Path south toward Winton MS is ok, but could be developed.
-
Parking garage supplies a super handy route from DT BART th Grand. Could be made to connect to C St. loop. Stairs not ideal, but good for Temporarily Able Bodied cyclists.
-
Improved access btwn Whitman and Orchard would be really great!!
-
Apologies. Previous bomment abt overpass was in wrong place. This is the overpass that needs ramps for bikes n wheelchairs.
-
Terrible bridge for bikes! Ramps, please!
-
Possible north end of off whitman bike path.
-
Possible location of bike path off whitman.
-
Nasty, dangerous corner for north ound bikes and school children!!
