Needed a 4th bridge located north of Filer!
An additional crossing of the Snake River Canyon is needed. I do hope that the plan is to abandon the crossing which was being examined for Eastland and Poleline. The truck traffic in that area is bad enough. It would merely exacerbate issues that already exist in that corridor. I am speaking from a rather NIMBY perspective as I live at the intersection of Eastland and Cheney, but this makes no sense to me to have a bridge almost parallel to 93.
Like Liked 3 timesPark Ave, Harrison st, Pheasant rd, and Valencia st are some of the widest roads cutting right through neighborhoods. These roads are wider than a drag racing strip. Which means cars are driving like they are on a race track. These roads urgently need to be narrowed and slowed down. 35 mph is insane through a neighborhood, but even worse is that people drive faster than that due to the wide open race track/highway they are given to drive down. These roads should be no wider than 2 lanes with a speed limit of 20 mph through the neighborhoods.
The southbound right turn at Pheasant road is unsafe. The road widens for no reason leading to unsafe interactions between bikes and cars. Cars will get over and speed up to race down the roadway to turn passing bikes on the right. Please eliminate the right turn lane like the rest of Washington St S
This section of Blue Lakes is part of a bike route and yet has absolutely no safety considerations for those outside of cars. The lanes are not safe due to inconsistent widths. There is no signage or road marking indicating that bikes are allowed. The shoulder is full of rocks and debris making that unsafe for bikes to ride in. There are trees growing over the roadway making it so bikes do not have a clear path. The vehicle speed increases drastically around this corner making it even more unsafe for anyone outside of a vehicle. There is also no sidewalk for pedestrians to be able to safely walk through this area.
The lanes need to be decreased in width to add a sidewalk/separated bike path for others to be able to get through this essential connection across the canyon.
Locust street from Kimberly to Addison is very uneven and bumpy. Making it unsafe for bikes to ride on the edge of the roadway. The high vehicle speed on this residential street also makes it unsafe for bikes to ride in the lane. The road needs repaved and the speed limit should be 20
