This would be a great link between town and the river trail. I've heard Riverside might be closed to cars, which I don't think is a good idea....just make it slow and less convenient for cars and safer for people walking/biking....but let everyone use it (partly so the transients don't take over even more)

  2. October 26 2017

This intersection is diffcult and confusing for everyone, and especially scary for pedestrians on the west side or crossing.

  3. October 26 2017

A trail along the river here would be great - we would definately use it! Plus then I wound't need to ride my bike on Eastside Rd to get places.

While I would like to see pedestrian improvements extend to North Cow Creek, from where you have it now, I understand the need to prioritize and think any improvements along Deschutes Road are a welcome change!

  5. October 25 2017

I live in Palo Cedro off of Oak Meadow, and an improved bike way along Deschutes Road would greatly improve our quality of life. Our 8 year old son attends North Cow Creek and having him be able to ride his bike to school safely in a few years would dramatically improve his quality of life and health! Also, being able to ride his bike later to Foothill High School and take a shorter route would be amazing! Our family would do so much more biking if we could get to the Holiday Shopping Center on a bike. Right now, we don't feel safe because the cars go too fast and there is nowhere to ride off the road.

Too unsafe to use the trails alone anymore. Too many shady, hostile people camping out on this side of the trail. Would never let my kids walk to school either. Way too many creepy, hostile people constantly on the streets and in the park. Have been verbally assaulted and fearful for my safety in the past few years in this area.

This intersection is horrible in pretty much every way. Terrible road conditions, a railroad crossing that is very active, about ten different points of entry. Scary for bikes, pedestrians, WHEELCHAIRS, even cars and motorcycles.

I live off of Laurel St. and often hesitate from walking around the neighborhood, there are no designated sidewalks in the neighborhood nor along Shasta Dam Blvd. It does not seem safe for bicyclists or pedestrians especially in bad weather or in the presence of animals such as deer. I often see kids walking home along this path and am worried about their safety after the sidewalk ends. My family would like to walk around the neighborhood but do not feel it is safe enough to do so.

  9. October 25 2017

    Add a bike lane

  10. October 25 2017

Need sidewalks on the Holiday Market side of the road

  11. October 25 2017

Agreed - safer walking area - scary area, can't walk anywhere here.... please help fix this!!! ☺

  12. October 25 2017

Going south on market and moving to the far left lane to turn onto Breslauer is extremely difficult. I am an avid cyclist and struggle here. With Shasta county services on Breslauer, this is an extremely populated area for pedestrians and cyclist. There is no safe and easy to cross. I see close calls all the time.

  13. October 25 2017

    Area needs better lighting

  14. October 25 2017

Patrol... people can’t use the parks and trails with all the homeless and drug users passed out in the grass. It’s not safe... we’ve seen people actively using drugs in the middle of the day. The parks are for everyone not just drug users

  15. October 25 2017

This bridge is very narrow to comfortably ride or walk along when there are cars.

  16. October 25 2017

    More bike Lanes.

  17. October 25 2017

This area has very high traffic, this route wouldn’t serve as safe area for bicyclists due to the amount of traffic that flows through Dana drive and Churn Creek.

  18. October 25 2017

There needs to be at least one crosswalk on Churn Creek, between Hartnell and Cypress.

  19. October 25 2017

Patrol for the Sacramento River trail

  20. October 25 2017

These might technically be shared use paths, but they ar unsafe to use because of the transient camps.

  22. October 25 2017

School needs to have sidewalks from blvd

  23. October 25 2017

Safe sidewalks should be present all long Browning, both sides of the street and we'll-lit. Bicycle lanes where possible.

  24. October 25 2017

I live on the boarder of Redding and Bella Vista. The most dangerous but beautiful road is deschutes. I would love to be able to bike ride to Palo Cedro but the odds of being in a accident are extremely high. There is no shoulder and no room for a bike. I am an experienced rider but would not even dare to walk on this road during night or day.

  25. October 25 2017

I would like to see bike routes in Mountaingate and safe, lighted areas to ride.
