Need sidewalks all along Mistletoe for school kids.
-
Insufficient lighting for safe walking or biking
-
Having a nice path to keep bicyclists and pedestrians further from autos would be a huge improvement to using the narrow shoulder along the curves and up the incline here
-
Needs to be wider bike lanes on airport road or pedestrian paths.
-
The asphalt at this intersection is extremely bubbled, tricky even for vehicle travel. Also no crosswalks, very dangerous for the many pedestrians and bicyclists who travel to County offices on City of Redding property.
-
Inconsistent sidewalks and insufficient space on sides of road for walking or biking
-
Need a sidewalk or at least a shoulder for kids to walk to the school bus stop at SeaTac & Old Alturas.
-
Need a highly visibly cross walk with blinking lights when in use to promote safe crossing for Shasta Meadows Elementary students who need to cross Hartnell in order to walk to and from school. Many live in the Shadowbrook apartments. They won't walk to the Hartnell/Victor intersection, so they cross unsafely, or ride the bus (missing an opportunity for exercise).

Sulphur Creek has a rare plant that grows in the flood plain of upper Sulphur Creek and no where else in the world. A plant survey should be completed before any trails are put in the flood plain.

Riding along the dirt path in this area is fun and safe from traffic. There is one place that could be easily be altered and offer great safety improvements.
There is a corner post on the city's fence that forces the trail out towards the road at the bend in the road. Moving that corner post back ten feet would offer a new, safer line for the trail to follow. -
This bike blvd is not connected to any other bike road. Consider connecting it somehow.
-
Cars fly along this road and I don't think I would feel safe with just a bike lane feet from cars going 60 mph. A buffered bike lane would be preferable.
-
This road is already a lovely bike ride, making it a bike blvd would improve the experience a lot.
-
A buffered bike lane on Bechelli would be wonderful, right now it is pretty scary to bike this road.
-
Are the bike routes going to continue through the streets that will be opened when they redevelop the promenade?
They should continue. -
This hill is not has horrible as the hill on Yuba. I think it would make more sense to have a bike lane on Placer between East and Continental streets. Also the length of the light makes it difficult coming down this hill, since if it is green when I am at the top of the hill, it is always red when I reach the bottom of the hill.
-
This hill is nasty on a bike. Could the route be moved to avoid this hill?
-
I am extremely nervous each time I get to this bridge. Not only while on the bridge but also on the approach. I would take another route if there were another reasonable option with where I live and where my work is located, but there is not. Please prioritize this project. All it is going to take is one distracted driver and a biker/pedestrian will lose their life. Please act!

Cars parked in the bike lane force me and other bicyclists into the posted 45 mph speed limit lane. Speeds often exceed this! Would strongly suggest the city place "No Parking In Bike Lane" sings from Hilltop Garden apartments entrance to Ridgecrest Trail St; southbound on Hilltop Drive. Very dangerous for bike ridding in that area. Northbound bike lane is always clear of parked cars.

This path is a spectacular idea! It's very exciting to even consider the possibilities for both recreation and commuting! And once in place it would make connections to other parts of the network simpler. This would be a wonderful addition to the community.
-
A water fountain at the top of this trail would be SO welcome!
-
Dramatic bump in bike lane entering bridge on east bound & west bound lanes..
-
I love this path idea.
-
I would like to see a trunk way for bikes and pedestrians running parallel to 299, it would be good for commuters as well as pleasure riders and walkers. There are some great views and it would be a nice place to walk around.
-
When this path is built, putting up a sound barrier between this path and the highway would be ideal. The highway noise in this area is intense.
