As a resident on Heartwood Loop Rd NE the majority of homeowners on the street are desperate for a sidewalk. With the addition of Jackey’s Ridge, we have an influx of additional traffic. Unfortunately they tend to treat our street as a thoroughfare and consistently speed. We have children who live on this street who ride bikes, scooters; also dog walkers, bicyclists, and runners/walkers. It’s extremely dangerous and have seen 2 children almost get hit by a car. We are the ONLY street in Lanvale Forest without a sidewalk. This is a HUGE safety concern and hope this is a priority to be addressed and considered for funding first before someone gets injured or even killed. Thank you.

Multi-use paths for biking and walking is good idea but great care needs to be taken along 17 and 133 where traffic is both heavy and at a fast pace. Paths should be well off the roadway and extra care and caution lighting should be used wherever such paths may cross over these roadways!

While multi-use paths are terrific for biking and walking, you should be VERY careful on paths along 133 and 17 from a safety viewpoint. Automobile traffic on these roads is both heavy and fast. Sufficient distance from road and especially lights and warning lights should be installed where multi-use paths may cross these heavy traffic roads!

jIntersection of Lillibridge and Rice Gate - NEEDS Pedestraian crosswalks going across Ricegate to the other side of Lillibridge, plus signage warning vehicles on Rice Gate going both ways of the dangers of many pedestrians trying to cross the roadwalk while walking themselves or their dogs. We walk at 5 or 6 am and it's pitch dark and we have almost gotten hit many times because vehicles don't know to SLOW DOWN. Highly highly dangerous intersection. Also, while trying to cross, if a vehicle coming on Rice Gate from Mallory Creek turns right on Lillibridge, we would be killed immediately because they cannot see us in the dark. It is a very very bad situation.

This comment is not conducive to traffic. There needs to be a roundabout and/or a traffic light added to this area as the builder continues to expand. The traffic on Lanvale is too heavy for left turns without assistance.

There needs to be a road that runs under the highway and connects to Brunswick Forest Road, which then connects to Highway 17. This way, people won't have to turn left out of Rachel Wynd and can simply merge in from the other side. Allowing people to turn left onto Highway 17 while prohibiting left turns elsewhere creates chaos given the amount of traffic that Leland now experiences

Please add a left turn lane from Lanvale Rd. onto Old Lanvale Rd NE. The number of cars turning onto OLR has increased dramatically with the expansion of Seabrooke, and many don't use their blinkers before hitting their brakes. If oncoming traffic is heavy the backup of cars can be pretty sizeable as they wait to turn. The intersection could be designed better to allow for good traffic flow at all times of day, especially on a blind curve.

There needs to be another way to get onto 17. The only way out is at Maco Rd and Ocean Hwy 17. With all the new housing being developed, traffic bottlenecks. Also when there is an emergency, it becomes so backed up and Maco Rd becomes a trap you can't get out of or into. Example...the last tropical storm that washed out part of the highway.

This green space should be kept for a park and bike trails/pedestrian trails from the Lanvalle area over to the shopping centers, Like Walmart. It’s too close to the highway for houses and we need to make more park areas to enjoy.

Needs to be a roundabout. There are too many roads intersecting and it is dangerous and congesting.

Intersection of Village Road and Fairview by Go Gas always has people doing U-turns into the left hand straight lane. Constantly having to dodge getting side swiped.

This trail needs to cross US 74/76.

This could be a linear park. Need to incorporate winding trails.

Need to put a crosswalk under this bridge.

Sidewalks along the Rt. 17 corridor and/or crosswalks for people to safely travel in the retail areas. Too many times people are crossing 4 - 6 lanes on foot or bicycles. (and also in the dark)

Mt. Misery Road near the Food Lion. There is a lot of traffic in/out of that area and pedestrian traffic. It would be good to have sidewalks or something for people to safely cross or travel

There needs to be a stop light for vehicles on US-17 south to U-turn and head back into Leland and Wilmington. Currently, there is no light for individuals to make a U-turn safely as there currently is further up US-17 towards Leland. The U-turn is rather sharp as it currently stands. Unless there is absolutely no traffic coming from the Town Creek area, it is dangerous to attempt a U-turn. There is a light immediately before this U-turn for people to turn onto and off of Maco Road.

The curve right here on Lanvale Road (right side) coming from 17, shortly after passing Crosswinds Church on the left, right before reaching the Wedgewood development is INCREDIBLY sharp and dangerous especially with how fast some individuals drive--please install a sharp curve/warning sign, maybe even a barrier on the right side of the road.

The speed limit on NC133 should be reduced. The road needs to at least have a turning lane so people can get out of their neighborhoods safely. Infrastructure needs to have importance before these new communities are approved.

Old Lanvale Road is missing asphalt and in terrible shape. The road sign is missing and the turn there is so sharp it is increasingly dangerous. While Buckeye Road was recently paved, it is not wide enough if you meet a fire engine or school bus on the curve. With more and more townhouses, this should be improved. The entrance to Old Lanvale should eliminate the sharp turn from Lanvale road.
