Roundabout is a poor design. People drive too fast. Not big enough for people to use it the way it is intended to be used. I've seen 2 accidents here in the past 5 months. One car turned on its side. It is dangerous.

Creating a road with through traffic on Kingsbridge is a terrible idea. It will turn what is now a neighborhood into a parking lot.

Protect natural resources and wildlife habitats and utilize as open space where appropriate through improved connectivity, especially in the Gateway District.

Encourage and promote green street infrastructure in the Gateway District through a variety of design elements including street trees, permeable pavement, bioretention ponds, and swales. Per the Leland 2045 Plan and the Green Growth Network Plan, design techniques should encourage soil and vegetation contact, as well as infiltration and retention of stormwater.

Per the Leland 2045 Plan, include signage and wayfinding in development of the Gateway District. Signage should be reflective of Leland's brand, culture, and sense of place.

Sidewalks, planter strips, and street trees are needed along Village Rd, Old Fayetteville Rd, and S. Navassa Rd. These improvements will frame out the downtown area and provide residents with a safe and shaded way to get around town.

Not supportive of a River Road widening project. Adding 2 additional lanes will not solve traffic related issues, it will only pave the way for additional traffic, divide communities, change the character of the area, and increase noise.

Support a traffic light and pedestrian infrastructure at this location. With slower boat traffic, a light is needed for safe egress. With the school and number of events held at the park, a crosswalk is also needed.

Multi-Use Path from Brunswick Nature Park to Brunswick Forest (and beyond) would be a great addition. It would provide direct access for walkers/bikers to the Nature Park without the need to drive down River Road.

Creating accessible outdoor space for all should be a priority. But, first, I think you should complete the work in the Gateway District (Village Road) that was promised years ago. That area should get sidewalks, bike paths, and the “downtown” feel that was promoted. Additionally, you should complete the Baldwin Drive project and open the Park on Sturgeon Creek. Let Belville take care of Belville; Leland needs to take care of its roots.

A high priority need that would increase safety for park and school events. As well as general traffic safety.
